Morning everyone, I haven’t been here for a long time hope that’s ok.

I need advice from fellow sufferers. I am suffering with my muscles seizing up at night and I’m finding it very difficult to sleep and to get out of bed and move about. Is anyone taking cbd and does it work.? 😉thank you for reading

Hi - yes, I've been taking CBD oil for over 4 years & find it helps to dampen down pain. As it only lasts in your body for 6-8 hours, then it's best if you can take it 3x a day.

However most prescribed meds are broken down in the same place as CBD, so if this is the case you should leave a 4 hour gap between taking the 2. Before starting this it is therefore best discussed with a pharmacist or your GP.

Buy from a reputable place where they have lab certified reports showing the CBD content of their products. You should start with a low strength & with a small amount & build up gradually to find what best helps. Some patience is needed as it can take anything from 2-8 weeks to get any improvement.

There are also patches & vapes to try & these won't interfere with any meds you might take.

Horrid when you cannot get quality sleep🙁 I do find gently stretching before I stand up properly in the morning s as I can feel like the ”The Tin man “ I do think having warm soak in bath before bed helps my muscles and I always have a good supply of Epsom’s salts. I do use a rub in ibuprofen gel (always check with pharmacist is on any meds) calf muscles does help, I do tend to feel more uncomfortable with the change in weather as well ☹️X

I have tryed it an am till not convinced it is helping me. Not to say it wont help others. Trying to move 1st thing in the morning is almost imposible, and I am woken up with leg pain on a regular bases now so i can simpathise. I am weighting to go on to pain patches to see if that helps. The GP has temporerally put me on oxycodone again ( not been on for 8 + months). I have found that it is helping masively.

I was getting cramp in my legs a few times each week and restless legs most nights. The cramp would wake me and my neighbour as I would be almost screaming in agony. I bought a weighted blanket and and it was a miracle. Although very heavy they don't make you hot because the weight is spread out. Washed the blanket yesterday and was wakened by cramp at 5am this morning! Looks like a spare one is being put on my Christmas list.
