How do you avoid your ectopic heartbeats?
I had
catheter
ablation
for SVT last year (which so far has been a complete success!) but I am plagued with ectopic heartbeats. I have them all day everyday. My cardiologist says they're nothing to worry about and that suits me fine.

3 weeks post AV node ablation
I was hoping I could post a very positive outcome but it's not happening yet. Pacemaker set at 60bpm lowest it's been down to 49 for a few minutes 1 week after ablation and I can feel my heart having its tantrums more often and pulse misses. On the positive side my pulse rate is not fast - hurrah!

AV NODE ABLATION
I would like some advice from anyone who has undergone an AV NODE ABLATION. I was diagnosed with AF over 10 years ago, during that time they tried for about 4 years to treat me with Warfarin, Amoderone and Bisoprolol which I found very difficult to tolerate. They then tried Flecainide which helped control

Thank you
I would like to thank every one who sent me good wishes for the AV node ablation yesterday. All went well and It only took 30 minutes. I had a restless night but I think that was due to overactive imagination wondering if I would have scary symptoms which I didn't. EP said that it was a successful ablation

No more AF
Hi I am now almost 4 months post my 5th
catheter
ablation
in 9 months for Atrial Fib and Flutter. I have had no episodes of either since the 5th ablation. I am now off warfarin but still on metoprolol - 47.5 per day. My cardiologist says I should now be off Metoprolol because of its side effects.

A V Node ablation
I have date for av node ablation Tuesday 13th Oct. EP advised it as 3 failed ablations and then pacemaker in 2011. I am unable to tolerate rhythm meds and only Bisoprolol up to 5mg. This isn't what I wanted but I am hoping I will feel much better and be able to have the hip replacement I desperately

Ablation
I am 19, a college student, and currently diagnosed with Atrial Tachycardia. It only affects 10% of people worldwide. I am having a cardiac ablation in November and was wonderi what i should expect before, during and after surgery?

Post Catheter Ablation issues
On June 12th of this year I had a
catheter
ablation
for an arrhythmia that started after receiving another ablation on the nerves in my lower back, not sure if it's related.

Possible Stroke
I saw my Dr. last week and related an experience that I had a few weeks ago. I was lying in bed reading one of my favorite things to do and I suddenly had a sensation that I really can't describe when I stood up I felt lightheaded and when my wife came in she asked if I was okay and I couldn't respond

Sotalol side effects and an anticoagulation conundrum.
I live in Central Scotland, and the cardiologist I have seen twice in the last year has given me the definite impression that she is not a fan of
catheter
ablation
, well, maybe as a last resort, certainly not an immediate one, although when I ask my GP if it's still an option, he says yes.

Pace and AV node ablation
Hi. I would appreciate any members who have had pace and ablate giving me feedback on results for them. Cardiologist says that as I have episodes every week lasting approx 20 hours and a heart rate reaching 175bpm he wants me to have this procedure as he says such a high rate will eventually weaken

ICD device
Hi, been off here for a while, due to health issues. Anyway, I had an ICD implant on 12th Aug. It should have been a 3 lead connection, but halfway through the procedure, I experienced the most severe pain in the middle of my back & chest. Neither me or my EP could explain it, as my heart was functioning

Husband's adventures
Complaining of severe epigastric abdominal pain and looking really unwell, with vomiting the out of hours doctor referred him to A & E. Until now he has been a healthy 73 year old overweight and has lost four stone in 60 months, just re=educating his palate and being married to me. Still working.

Positive Story :)
I just thought as I have found this site so very helpful over the past few months I would post my experience in the hope of giving others in my position some reassurance that there can be positive experiences. It's quite a long story so sorry about that! I have always suffered with heavy periods, from

What are your experiences of persistent AF and treatment?
If you have been diagnosed with persistent AF and are undergoing
catheter
ablation
, cardioversion or atrioventricular (AV) node ablation in the near future, we’d love to hear from you!

Cardiologist ref av node ablation
When my af first started I saw a cardiologist who discharged me and put the episode down to stress and/or alchohol. Several weeks later had another episode of af and saw my gp. Gp stated had no feedback from cardiologist so asked me to give them a bell for the notes. Three weeks later the cardiologist

Bee stings and AF
My husband keeps bees. I was stung once about 23 years ago before being diagnosed with AF so was not on any medication, and apart from the pain, no problem. My query is has anyone had any adverse affects from wasp or bee stings whilst on medication for AF? I am ultra careful whilst husband is dealing
