concerned about the safety of having a catheter ablation. Google not helping. Seems like abundance of positives on this forum. Any negatives? First one eight years ago and thinking about a second. I am in US and some excellent eps here.

I had my Catheter Ablation on 25th July, all ok and back into Sinus Rhythm. Previously been running for 15yrs. I would like some advise on returning to running; ie when to start back safely so as not to revert to Atrial Fibrillation.

Hi I am due to have Catheter Ablation in a couple of weeks and just wondering for those of you who have gone through the post op term, do you feel better? Has it made much of a difference? I get very short of breath and breathe heavily even after a short walk and I'm hoping this will go.

My heart returned to NSR however, my cardiology team still recommended a catheter ablation, which was performed on October 11th. I went in, and came out of hospital in NSR. All was well for 10 days but now my AF has returned. I'm a bit bewildered, and not a little concerned.

I had a catheter ablation 2 years ago. I haven't had a bad AF episode since then but I have noticed that when I haven't slept well I get more ectopics. Is this a common occurrence, do any of you have had the same experience? I haven't been able to find any literature on this topic.

I had a successful catheter ablation 8 years ago for persistent afib. I woke up this morning and it's back - unsure yet if it's paroxysmal or persistent, but I'm wondering what my options are. Can you have a second ablation?

I understand that success rate of catheter ablation is 50% in those with persistent AF and some studies show that recurrence rate of AF after ablation those with anaemia is high.

On a personal note, PFA would be my choice if I needed a catheter ablation, especially if the center was not high volume, because PFA is not as operator dependent as RFA or Cryo. Jim

Hi all, I have had a few blood tests because I have episcleritis in one eye and some aches and pains in back, neck and shoulders.I had a catheter ablation on the 26th of March this year.

I’m closely following an Australian company Imracor who has done European tests on its new MRI guided Catheter ablation method and now a couple of months ago started at John Hopkins in the US… the ablations conducted initially are for Atrial Flutter.

Had anyone else had any eye problems following catheter ablation of do you wise people think this is just a coincidence? Thanks Karen
