Chest pain/pressure 3 weeks post-ablation
I (M, 33) had cardiac ablation for ventricular tachycardia. After the procedure, I felt weak but no real pain other than a little around my insertion points in my femoral arteries. 2 weeks after the procedure, I went on a 4-mile walk (which was too long), and that evening my heart started racing to

Exercise after cardiac ablation
Hello! I'm 7 days post ablation for atrial flutter. Feel good mostly, a little breathless occasionally. Pre ablation I was doing 30 mins yoga and walking 3 miles + most days. I'm really looking for advice on getting back to walking and yoga. I've tried a couple of walks, but I'm tiring very fast. Thank

Heavy periods (sorry it's a long post)
Hi, I have always had horrible heavy and painful periods and really want them to stop, I just can't cope with it. The problem is that I never seem to be taken seriously, I always feel like I'm basically being told to grow up and deal with it because it's unpleasant for everyone. But it isn't unpleasant

Pace & Ablate
Hi all,I'm 52 and after 5 years of very symptomatic AF(blackouts, breathlessness, extreme fatigue) moving from paroxsymal to permanent, trying the full range of anti arithmia meds and now on 400mg of Dronedarone and 15mg of bisoprolol. and having had serveral cardiversions that only kept me in sinus

Should I go for second ablation?
Decided to get
catheter
ablation
Nov 2019 under my EP advice. He put in on pradaxa and Cordorone and continued after the procedure. The healing period was quite a difficult experience . I experience Afib , fatigue and short of breath for a couple of months.

Slow recovery
I'm new to this this site. I am 12 days out from having a cardiac ablation. I feel, it is taking me longer to "feel like myself" then what I read on the internet. Still feel discomfort in my chest and shoulder blades. Still feel breathless. Is it too much rest? Prescribed 80 mg of omeprazole which

Cardiac Ablation for Frequent PVC and PACs - 6 Weeks out and struggling
Hello! I am new here, 28F, and 6 weeks post-ablation. I am told my ablation was a success, since they weren't able to duplicate the PVCs, PACs, and NSVT. However, I have had an awful recovery and I'm looking for some advice as to whether or not this is normal. I've been to my physician's office countless

Three years post treatment
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02695277 The trial involved a mini-maze followed by a
catheter
ablation
, this was being compared against the outcome of two
catheter
ablations Apparently, significantly fewer numbers than expected were recruited (at least in the UK where there were 15 instead

What are the typical costs to a patient for a catheter ablation?
I live in the US, had an ablation in July and am coming up on the 6 month follow up, and have no signs of any issues at all. So far, a success. However, I was just reviewing my health care costs for the year, and I was shocked by the final charges for the mapping and ablation procedures. I have been

Flecadine and weight gain
I had a
catheter
ablation
in July and started taking flecadine with metapropolol right after. I know I slowed down my regular exercise while I was healing but I didn’t eat that much out of my normal diet. I stated exercising more starting end of August and now I’ve gained 13 pounds.

Anxieties about procedure for CRT D
I had a dual chamber pacemaker implanted together with AV node ablation 2 years ago after many years of horrendous AF episodes and 5 failed ablations. I had an appointment at the BHI in Bristol in January and after climbing the several flights of stairs I had an episode of struggling to breathe and

It seems to me that most people here have had one or multiple Ablations of one type or another.
The rate of
catheter
ablation
in AF patients increased from 0.06% in 1990 to 0.79% in 2005, (p<0.001 for trend).
