Polycythemia + Brain Tumor - Update
I had to have a heart surgery (
catheter
ablation
) to deal with paroxysmal atrial tachycardia that was both successful and handled very well by a doc who did consider the MPN in his treatment for me. Most recently, I had to have a hemorrhagic brain tumor removed.

Surgery or meds for atrial fibrillation?
Catheter
ablation
allows a cardiologist/electrophysiologist to create a type of scar called a conduction block in the heart muscle, to prevent erratic electrical signals from travelling through the heart.

In late 2016 I was diagnosed with slightly elevated blood pressure during a routine health check. In summer 2017 I went to my GP after realising that I was becoming breathless with mild exertion and, to cut a long story short, I was diagnosed with heart failure and started on a range of medications ‘

PVC's have arrived
Having had three wonderful months being AF free - having opted recently for 'Pace and Ablate' procedure - I was thrown into unsettled confusion last week by frequent bouts of what felt like PVC's. My first thought was that a wire had come out. So I phoned the arrhythmia team and given an emergency

Finally - LV lead reattached today
Update for those kind people who have been asking - I am Just home from hospital - where I had the LV wire dug out (literally it felt like) and replaced and now all working well with absolutely no twitches - yeah! The experience was just SO different to the first - relaxed and confident and reassuring

Hypothyroid symptoms back with a vengeance
Hi everyone , kind of lengthy but it’s been a while. i had a thyroidectomy 9 years ago for papillary ca found by accident, labs normal, no symptoms. the pharmacist accidentally put me on 50mcg levothyroxin but even though I was that low I felt ok. The following month we noticed this and my Endo raised

Successful Ablation and given the all clear !
Hi just and update on my 11 year old Daughter who was diagnosed with AVRNT 3 years ago. She went in for her cardiac ablation in December on her 11 Birthday and I'm happy to say since that she's off all medication and has not had 1 single issue since :-) We've been given the all clear at her follow up

Atrial fibrillation & catheter ablation
Just had appt at Cardiology, Southampton and advised that due to my age and being active (nordic walking of 6-7 miles twice a week), gym, aqua aerobics and aerobics) I am a good candidate for

Catheter Ablation
Hi. I'm 4 months clear of my 1st Cathater Ablation with hardly and AF in the last 2/3 months. Now all of a sudden I'm getting Flutters almost every day lasting on and off all day! Could AF be creeping back or is it still early days? Has anyone else had the same experience? Thanks Gaz :)

Going in for cardioversion after having an ablation 2 weeks ago.
I am now involved in a study where they are trying a new
catheter
called the “Diamond Temp
Ablation
System for Persistent Atrial F which hasn’t received FDA approval yet in this country. Had the ablation procedure May 14th. All went well and I was back in NSR immediately afterwards.

Pace and ablate - update 3 months on
Well, it is now about 3 months since I had the pacemaker implanted and 7 weeks since the av node ablation. Since then I have had two pacemaker checks, one before the AV node was ablated (I was not going to let that happen until they had checked all was still in place!) . Then last week I had a second

Low pressure after cardiac ablation
I had cardiac ablation two weeks ago for Afib. Four days ago, I started having very low blood pressure—72/54, or lower. Has anyone else experienced this?

Best surgeon in the world for an ablation?
If you needed a
catheter
ablation
for paroxysmal AF and cost or travel weren't a problem, what doctor would be the best choice?
