Ablation recovery
My husband had a cardiac ablation 10 days ago . On discharge he wasn't given any information other than rest. We don't know what recovery looks like? He is extremely tired after just a little bit of exertion eg he folded up his clothes and tidied his wardrobe yesterday, calmly, slowly. And was then exhausted

Frustrated
First off, I have NOT been diagnosed with an MPN. I have had high platelets (between 450-520) since at least 2017 (not sure exactly because I wasn't monitoring my bloodwork prior). In May 2021 I was referred to a hematologist who said I had high platelets because I had extremely heavy bleeding from my

Second opinion
Hi, I asked for a second opinion with another cardiologist following ongoing symptoms since my ablation carried out a year ago which ended up with me having a pacemaker fitted due to AV node ablation. When I made my concerns known to the cardiologist who carried out the surgery he wrote back and said

Periodic episodes of fluctuating tachycardia while in AFib.
Never had any heart problems until early 2020. I'm a rather robust yet strong guy , late 40s. I suspect COVID may have had something to do with it. Never vaccinated either..went to e.r after having AFib for 16 hrs. Was blacking out at work. Thought I was going to die. Spent 2 days in hospital. Echocardiogram

AV - Ablation and Tachycardia-Bradycardia
I have been diagnosed with Tachycardia-Bradycardia, a condition I have l had for many years. Hi all, I have had AF for 13 years following death of first husband. Have been on a beta blocker for that long, and then flecainide was added about 7 years ago. I had a cardiac ablation in October 22. After 4 months I came off flec slowly over 5 weeks then stopped metoprolol . It is now 5 weeks

AV node ablation with pacemaker implant
I'm an 85 woman with permanent AF since 2018. It started in 2011 and was ill-treated for many years. Now my new EP suggested having an AV node ablation as a last resort. However, he advised me that it is with some risks, the procedure, and also with a pacemaker implanted. I'm on Atenolol, 12 mg once

Heart rate now fluctuating between 30 to 150. before transfer told don't need pacemaker need
catheter
ablation
as heart has 2 conduction pathways not one. OK off we go. Get to new hospital told no actually don't have said additional pathway need further tests.

Cyclist and Runner with Persistent AF - After much deliberation decided to have an ablation
I am also hopeful that I may not need a second ablation as apparently the chances of a first procedure success with PF
Ablation
can be higher than with other forms of
catheter
ablation
, but of course only time will tell.

Ablation
Has anyone had the same possible problem in having an
ablation
done. I am guessing that the
catheter
is a one time insertion operation and allows it to be used again if necessary ( I have read that some poor souls have a second or third ablations before having some success ?

Post pace and ablate
Hi everyone…..I said I would do a follow up after leaving hospital for AV node ablation. I was kept in hospital for four extra days because of breathlessness which was pretty extreme. Eventually was allowed to go home still not feeling too good. I think they did every test possible to find

What is wrong with me?
so, about six years ago my platelets started to be elevated. The doctors don’t seem too concerned. I was researching on my own a couple years ago and found out about ET. I started asking questions and advocating for myself. I asked to be tested for the Jak2 mutation and to be seen by a hematologist.

What is your experience of novasure endometrial ablation?.
Hi 😊 I've had a crap time with endometriosis (like everyone here) Im due to have bilateral endometriomas removed and ablation followed by Mirena coil (privately). I've heard mixed things about both the mirena and ablation. I have advanced endo but luckily my pain levels don't reflect the damage, My
