Hi. I have hip replacement op booked for 17 June.I have received cardiac MRI appointment for 26 June. I tried the MRI dept to ask if I should defer. They passed the buck back to Cardiology. I asked at the pre op assessment yesterday but again no clear advice. I usually recover quickly from surgery -

No surgery
Hub and I were in ER yesterday, more xrays and they determined that I have a fractured hip....just like the other xrays did.๐ Surgeon said no surgery as the bones are knitting together. Follow up appointment in a few weeks. Thanks for the well wishes, prayers and cash.๐ ๐ค

Hello everyone, Since my fatherโs surgery in 2022, his PSA levels have been undetectable. He receives a Zoladex injection every three months. Until this month, the reference range for total testosterone was 1.93 - 7.40 ug/L, and his result was 0.126 ug/L. This month, the lab's reference value format

Further developments in the 'back muscle strain' saga

Deep infiltrating nodule?
Hi everyone, Last week I got rushed in to hospital with the worst episode of pain I've had in 6 months! The pain was unbearable. While in hospital I wasn't expecting much as everything always comes back ok! (Of course it does) but it should on my scan a what the general surgeon called a lesion! Now

Who is confused? My surgery or me?
I was asked by the GP to remind him, when I reached 3mg in my tapering, that I should have a synacthen test. I have now done so. However, I am being sent for an ACTH blood test Is this the same thing (I don't think so as I have not been asked to miss the steroid dose and there is no indication that

Confused! Adhesiolysis or Hysterectomy or Mirena!
I attended a follow up appointment this morning which was booked straight after my lap in March. It was with the original team (let's call them Team A), as since then I was put under a different team for Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis after finding severe, dense, widespread adhesions. Team B refused to scan
