After going through surgery for fibroid removal, unfortunately it didn’t work, with the wrong fibroid removed as I have lots, and the one we think is affecting implantation is still unchanged. Have very few embryos available after many stim cycles.
Next step for me is looking like some sort of down reg cycle to shrink the fibroid.
I’ve read a lot about how terrible people feel on these meds and am so nervous!
Any tips for how to manage it better? Anything specific I should be preparing myself for?
Today’s been a hard day as I thought we’d be preparing for my next transfer and instead we are “back in the waiting room”…
(As my psychologist likes to say)
This is just such a hard slog at times 😢

Hi. zolodadex caab work well as a down regulation medica. Quieting your ovaries and womb lining, and helping to reduce fibroids . Hope it works for you . Diane
Hi I echo what Hanj10 said.. it's not that bad. I used it several times over the years to shrink my Adenomyosis and fibroids (until I had an embolization). The hot flashes were the only side effect I had to deal with. Just buy an electric fan for around your neck, and carry wipes, and you're good to go! Good luck x
Lol that's true. I worked with quite a few menopausal women so they were the ones who told me about the fan. I just said my periods were bad so I'm taking an injection to stop them for a bit, for relief. I didn't share about IVF.
