I have recently had both of my ovaries removed in a NHS hospital.
the operation went fine and they were removed through keyhole surgery. After the operation I found that my Virgina was very sore and the nurse had said something was inserted in to during the operation.
The ovaries were removed through the key hole surgery, not my Virgina…… can anyone advise what happened?
thank you

To put your mind at rest, I suggest you talk to your hospital about your sore vagina or go to the GP and ask him to have a look to make sure there is no infection in it.
Hi! If your you ovaries were removed it’s possible that the sore vagina is a menopausal dryness problem. It can make the vagina very sore.
I agree that you need to go back to the hospital and ask the questions, maybe discuss HRT. Whether they prescribe that could depend on your age too.
In the meantime, maybe you could give the team at Ovacome a ring and ask them. The helpline number is on their website. I’m sure they’ll be able to help you.
Were you perhaps catheterised during your operation? That can make you feel very uncomfortable afterwards. Also a small risk of a urine infection afterwards too? Definitely seek some medical help if it continues.
