How long does it take for a result of blood test for Intrinisc Factor in UK
I had blood taken on 7th December for Intrinsic Factor, no results were back ten days later when I saw my doctor on 17th, should it take so long for results ? I have neurological symptoms due to be wrongly diagnosed as suffering from ME/CFS in 2000 after attending my GP in 1990 with same symptoms, which

ADHD "Cured"
I had made a post basically outlining my negative life experiences and how ADHD played a role and I had treated for depression (a symptom of the ADHD) for years and I was also looking for opinions about Adderall. I had taken Vyvanse for a few weeks with 0 results, may as well have been placebo. After

Got the shots down to 10 weeks from 12 with GP, still massively struggling! Should I self-inject?
Hello, first post here! I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia and lack of intrinsic factor over a year ago and was given the loading shots and then put on a 12 weekly B12 injection. A few months ago I went back to the GP and begged to be given them more often, and they agreed to do it every 10 weeks

Castor oil packs anyone?
Hi - I'm curious to know who uses
castor
oil
packs on here (
castor
oil
smeared over pelvic area, covered in 2 small sheets of white towelling, hot water bottle on top), or who has tried them in the past. For those who use them - how often do you use them, and how long for at a time?

Taking Vitamin D with oil capsules
The advice is to take vitaimin D with the fattiest meal of the day. If take I vitamin D with evening primrose oil capsule or any other oil capsule will that have the same effect. My fattiest meal can be late afternoon/early evening and I don't want to take vitamin D that late as I have read they can

"Check your Fish Oil Capsules -- They're very likely to be rancid!"
This was the advice I received from a very sharp and nutrition-oriented internist (MD) with whom I met this week. Among other things, he encouraged me to cut open one of my capsules and just smell it. I did so and WOW -- the odor was overpowering! The oil in the capsules seems clearly rancid, and

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s

Jakafi side effects
Hi everyone, I’m 62, diagnosed w et about 12 years ago, pv a few years later. Terrible itching, esp in high temperatures, was driving me crazy. I got on Jakafi for the itching, and that’s been great. But my immune system has gone to hell—weird infections, bimonthly bronchitis, painful heel bursitis

Me again
I’m a bit upset as I’ve just received a copy from Consultant about my last appointment. The first thing I noticed was she now says I’m seronegative when I’ve always been seropositve. It seems my inflammatory markers are normal ESR is 11 CRP 4 and Rheumatoid factor and anti-CCP antibodies are negative

Hi all - new here You guys know so much so I'm hoping for your take on what's going on with me. Any advice on what I should do going forward i.e. getting B12 injections from GP when I'm "in range". Doctors found some demyelination on my brain MRI. Immediately the doctor said MS (probably). This was
