Can AF cause cardiac arrest?
I suppose there's always the possibility that the subjects who had
cardiac
arrest
had other heart ailments too. Micwal.

Loving husband and daddy, to be.
And I've gone into
cardiac
arrest
once. Do to the muscular dystrophy I've also suffered many injuries. Both in my neck and back, as well as all my limbs. I has a bone disorder passed on to me from my dad called degenerative joint disorder. And I suffered from seizures for almost 9 years.

Lung prolapse
Hey guys, hope you are all well. Just wondering if anyone out there has had a prolapsed lung and used the "watch and wait treatment? I found out yesterday I had one but it's very small (about 15% they reckon). I feel a bit stupid actually because I've had it since bank holiday Monday but because o

OMG!! Found my guy on the ROOF!
OMG--I think I went into
cardiac
arrest
! (kidding--but I did freak!) I was in shock! I told the roof guy, "my husband's balance is terrible, he can not see clearly and he will fall"! I didn't even know this roof guy, but he saw the panic on my FACE and knew he better stay right by my husbands side.

W8,R1 Best Face Forward
I felt like I had to go faster, be "perkier" and generally not look quite so close to a
cardiac
arrest
as I do normally; I couldn't even swear at Laura, it was bloody horrible. Back to my beloved lanes for run 2! On a positive note, random Charlie-shot! I'm not the only gurner in this family :o)

W6R3 - Who would have thought
As someone (50 & slightly overweight) who went home after W1R1 thinking I was going to have a
cardiac
arrest
, I have been amazed that I have managed to get this far on the programme.

One year on
In a weeks time its been a year since I had my cardiac ablation. For those of you on this site from that long ago may remember my build up to having it as I was always reading and posting on here because I was terrified. Had tremendous help from everyone and I went on to have it done. Apart from the

Cardiac Ablation
I had a cardiac ablation last July 2015 after having A-Fib 40+ years. I now pop into A-Fib every two months. My cardiologist says if it starts to happen more often, he will repeat the procedure. Has anyone else had this done twice and did that work?

Progress?
it is some months since my last post. since then, my fractured hip has almost completely healed itself without any treatment other than enforced bed rest for three weeks a year ago. the fracture was such that i could bear weight on it, albeit painfully, held together by the sticky soft tissue. strange

Diazepam prescribed for rls
In December it was confirmed that I was suffering from long QT syndrome after I had a
cardiac
arrest
at work. I spent 3 weeks in hospital but on returning home I have been suffering from severe restless legs at night in bed which has prevented me from sleeping.

First time on here.
My husband had a
cardiac
arrest
in May 2012. Went almost 15 minutes without oxygen. He had a blood clot that went to the Lungs and stopped his heart. He cannot work or keep a job and financial havoc is now being wrecked. I didn't want to accept or believe it. The truth is I am so glad he is alive.

My first visit to the EP
I saw my EP today and they informed me that the 30 day event monitor showed that I had 2 events that lasted less than 10 seconds. He said there were two options that he recommended. (1) Start on Propafenone (RYTHMOL) 150mg 3 times a day. He said it will not cure the AF but it might prevent it. He said

Coming off Statins
I am a 76 year old male having had two cardio versions and one cardiac ablation. I also had two stents fitted about 3 years ago following a mild heart attack. I had been on various statins for about 5 years with muscular weakening side effects. I decided to take myself off statins (Atorvastatin
