Feedback regarding ICU experiences post Cardiac Arrest
My mom was 65 years old, she went into
cardiac
arrest
, and it took them 11 minutes to revive her. She was taken to the hospital, to ICU, where they did therapeutic hypothermia (by blankets only, no cooling fluid) for 24 hours. They started warming her up, and took her off sedation.

Slow recovery
I'm new to this this site. I am 12 days out from having a cardiac ablation. I feel, it is taking me longer to "feel like myself" then what I read on the internet. Still feel discomfort in my chest and shoulder blades. Still feel breathless. Is it too much rest? Prescribed 80 mg of omeprazole which

Cardiac Ablation for Frequent PVC and PACs - 6 Weeks out and struggling
Hello! I am new here, 28F, and 6 weeks post-ablation. I am told my ablation was a success, since they weren't able to duplicate the PVCs, PACs, and NSVT. However, I have had an awful recovery and I'm looking for some advice as to whether or not this is normal. I've been to my physician's office countless

I have had tachycardia for 12 hours a week after a cardiac ablation. Probly also worsened by stress of losing mum two days ago. How long does it last for? Anyone had this problem?

Public access defibrillators
Although I didn’t have a
cardiac
arrest
, it has made me realise there are no publicly available defibrillators in my area. Any advice appreciated.

6weeks scan
So I’ve been having bed rest after spotting last week. My clinic gave me prontogest injection which stopped the bleed. I had my scan yesterday and it was twins!! One is measuring a day behind but my clinic says it’s no problem. Am praying for everyone who’s pregnant now, to carry it to full term and

Death of a family member
My paternal grandmother died of a massive PE and
cardiac
arrest
after being taken off of her Coumadin. She also had lupus and aPL. Yesterday, my aunt died of what I think was catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome after having multiple vascular manipulations done to save her leg.

Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Hi, Has anyone had this? I had HA two years ago, on meds. Earlier this year thought I had Shingles, progressed to looking like Chicken Pox, although I’ve had Chicken Pox and apparently you can’t have it twice. Rash increased until I was blue lighted from gp surgery last week. Apparently it can be a reaction

Partner suffered cardiac arrest
Last Saturday my partner suffered a
cardiac
arrest
whilst out on a run. I was running separately and came across him getting CPR, luckily from an off duty cardiac surgeon, with the ambulance on the phone.

Take forever to recover from illness
Hello everyone I've had an underactive thyroid since 1998 and I take Levothyroxine 125 mcg daily. This is my first post here. So my query is, every time I get ill it takes me forever to recover my full vitality. I'm very sporty (running, cycling, weight training hiking etc) and it drives me mad that

Post op tips?
Hi everyone! I had my first laparoscopy 11 days ago, which finally confirmed endometriosis (it’s been 13 years of being shrugged off!) It was absolutely everywhere — bowel, bladder, fallopian tubes, chocolate cysts on my ovaries, and also DIE on my appendix (so had that removed!). The surgeon said he
