Hi I was just wondering did anyone on here have 2 healthy good quality embryos transferred in there 20s if so what was your outcome I'm currently on day 2 after transfer on bed rest
2 embryo transferred : Hi I was just... - Fertility Network UK
2 embryo transferred
I’ll be interested to see what the answers are as I’m thinking about doing the same thing (if I get the chance).
The doctor told me that I should only need one, but I’m thinking the odds are greater by having two.

Hi! This is my go-to website for anything IVF related topics and they have a rather useful article about this:

Hope this helps!
It’s very unusual to have a double transfer in your 20s - in the UK pretty much all clinics have a minimum age of 37 before doing a double or if younger it tends to be because 2 embryos are lower quality and they don’t think one will survive being frozen
I transferred 2 age 37 and had twins in January - the link the previous poster put up was very interesting - here’s my experience
- fit and healthy before having twins. Pregnancy was brutal - on bed rest from 18 weeks - If I hadn’t been able to work from home I’d have been stuffed
- almost weekly scans due to one twin measuring small the entire pregnancy so yes did require a lot of NHS resources
- huge bleeds from 28 weeks and ended up haemorrhaging at 34 weeks - life threatening for all 3 of us.
- twins spent almost 3 weeks in NICU
- financially cost is horrendous- I’m the main earner so can’t be a stay at home parent. Childminder costs are around £1500-1800 a month (nursery would be a lot more)
I’m finding being a twin mum pretty easy but I do have an older child so I think I’m just more confidant this time round as I’m not a first time mum
Not going to lie it has placed a massive strain on our marriage though 🤣
Congratulations on your journey and I hear you. Having twins in this country is a massive undertaking so I get it. I come from a country where twins are revered and all my friends and family pray that I have twins and they look at me funny when I don’t say amen 😅🤣
My husband and I are resigned to the fact that it may be a possibility as I am 43 and to improve my chances we have to look at having two embryos transferred. I was told it goes from 10% to 15%. Not great odds but my faith is stronger than that 🙏🏾💫🌈
Hi yes my clinic gave me the option of having 1 embryo transferred and the other 1 frozen but I'm trying to conceive naturally 7 years on my own so I just chosen to have 2 embryos transferred as it makes the chances higher thank you for talking about your experience I have ant twins and grand ant twins also my husband has twins on hes family so hopefully I'm looking for the best outcome 😊
