PTC Lymph node at site of jugular & major artery...Help!
I received the results today & says they located a 7x7x4mm lymph node which shows every indication of papillary
carcinoma
....But , "FNA & any form of biopsy must be ruled out as it lies immediately adjacent to the jugular vein & carotid artery." My GP is saying it must be surgically removed ASAP.

Carcinoma

Is thyroid cancer overdiagnosed and overtreated?
Improved ultrasound may detect tiny nodules but until FNA can determine conclusively a) the nodule is a
carcinoma
; and b) whether it is papillary, follicular or a variant, I wouldn't be inclined to watch and wait.

Has anyone any advice on whether to have chemo or not when it is palliative?
My partner has squamous oesophagal
carcinoma
and is refusing chemo due to side effects. His life expectancy is poor but I was hoping he would take chemo to extend. Has anyone undergone palliative chemo and experienced good results?

Is Microsilver cream available on the NHS? (and does it do any good?)
I am currently using Actikerall for the remnants of a basal cell
carcinoma
. If and when this gets too sore, I am hoping that this microsilver will calm everything down. Any comments would be welcome.

Clinical trial shows sunscreen is effective in preventing UV from causing genetic damage and protects against the three forms of skin cancer
In a clinical trial of 57 volunteers that provided skin biopsies, researchers found (SPF30+) sunscreen provides 100 per cent protection against all three forms of skin cancer: BCC (basal cell
carcinoma
); SCC (squamous cell
carcinoma
); and malignant melanoma.

HAVE YOU GOT A PET?
CATS • Cats exposed to secondhand smoke in the home have a higher rate of an oral cancer called squamous cell
carcinoma
, which may be due to the way cats groom themselves. When cats groom themselves they eat the poisons from secondhand smoke that have settled on their fur.

When I was DX with renal cell
carcinoma
two years ago I began the research phase of my life. Six months ago I was informed it had moved into my lungs. Fortunately RCC is a slow growing form of cancer. It was then that I knew I had to try something other than toxic standard medical treatment.

Low TSH Levels after Total thyroidectomy
and yet when I was admitted my TSH was still too low and I had to have two injections of thyrogen before the radioactive iodine capsule could be given, this seems to be an ongoing thing with THS for me ever since I had the multinodular goiter in 1993 had the TT on Dec 3rd and they found follicular

Please see detail below
I have a squamous
carcinoma
T2N in my right lung. I had the same in my neck two years ago which was removed followed by chemo and radio. I can't have surgery or radio this time due to the cells in the nodes. I start GemCarbo chemo in a couple of weeks.
