CT scan
I started on Ibrance and Anastrozole roughly in June 2023. Took it for 2 months and had to go off Ibrance for 5 weeks for surgery. Back on it for a month. Has a CT scan which showed more bone Mets and increased size. A node in lungs which was not seen on previous scan 6 months ago. Discouraged to think

"A revolution in cancer treatment?"

Running has carried me through
I completed C25K during a Covid lockdown three years ago (we were allowed out for exercise). Then last February, just before I was going to attempt a Parkrun, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and sucked into a whirlwind of medical tests and treatment. The doctors told me that exercise could help me

Abstract from U of Maryland by Costello & Ferguson
ABSTRACT All cases of prostate cancer exhibit the hallmark condition of marked decrease in zinc in malignancy compared to the high zinc levels in the normal and benign prostate. There exists no reported corroborated case of prostate cancer in which malignancy exhibits the high zinc levels that exist

Acoustic neuroma
I developed acoustic aroma about a year and a half ago. All of a sudden, my right ear felt clogged and I started to develop tinnitus. I am really upset because I don’t know what I’m in for. The worst part of this is the tinnitus. I wish that it would just go away and it would be cure for it. It’s loud

Capecitabine(Xeloda) dose change
I have been on Capecitabine for about 9 months at a dose of 2000 mg per day (2 weeks on 1 week off). My scans have shown good results with the last scan showing no progression. My question is, has anyone had experience with reducing dose to 2000 mg 1 week on then 1 week off? My Dr. Has suggested changing

Gingko Biloba - Supplement Advice
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out for advice on using Ginkgo Biloba to combat brain fog. My previous experience with the Amitamin Ginkgo complex yielded promising results in boosting mental clarity. However, I've noticed it contains iodine (150ug), which I'd rather steer clear of. With that in mind

Radio sensitizers and Microbiome
I'm about to start a slightly novel radiotherapy - we will add in distant retroperitoneal nodes. 28 treatments = 70gy. I have a two part question: 1. Has anyone an opinion or experience with using supplements as radiosensitizers. Google "radiosensitizers and prostate cancer - NIH". Lots of studies

Postponing chemo because of radiation?
Hi all, My dads first radiation has been sheduled for June 21st. However his 3rd chemo is set for June 26th. When briefly speaking with his RO he mentioned that chemo would be postponed in order to do radiation. This confused a me a little bit as from my understanding the radiation would be for pain
