I posted about a month ago and didn't get any responses. I think it might be because I didn't have much information in the Profile section. I've updated my profile and did the best I can to describe my story. I had HDR Brachytherapy in 2018 to treat prostate cancer. The specifics are now in my Profile

PSMA PET
I am 60 years old, PSA 6.03 and diagnosed with PC after a TRUS biopsy January 22. The biopsy showed 5 of 12 samples with cancer. Of the 5 samples, 4 were on the right side and were 3 +3=6. The 5th sample was on the left and was 3+4=7. My Urologist sent me for a PSMA PET scan on February 22. The

Staring at my unopened bottle of Orgovyx
Well, D-day (or maybe O-day) has arrived (thank you FED-X). I'm about to do a swan dive into my battle against my PCa. After a week of searching for this stuff, my clinic found it in Louisville Kentucky at a pharmacy called Onco360. Not exactly a neighborhood corner market with me living on an island

Testosterone Recovery for 50% of Men
Here's an updated plot of Testosterone recovery time for 50% of men after stopping Lupron ADT, as a function of ADT duration. For ADT durations less than 20 months, the curve is basically linear with a slope = 1.0 (green line), meaning that the Recovery Time for 50% of men is roughly equal to the ADT

Ending Avastin
I had my final (18th) Avastin on Monday. The overwhelming feeling is relief; relief to have finished and to be here to have finished. I am also hoping to have a period of freedom from medical treatment for the first time in 2 years, and hopefully all the joint and muscle aches will subside a bit. It's

Full body MRI?
We’ve been reading about full body MRIs and wonder if anyone has had one after radiation treatment for prostate cancer? Can this type of test pick up micro metastases? If the full body scan was “all clear” could ADT be shortened from 2 years to a lower amount?

Hi all. Hope you are keeping your spirits high. This is a follow up to a post I made in 2022 about my father.
