A bit disappointed
I’ve seen my haematologist today. My blood results were pretty good, all in normal levels except a bit anaemic, so the EPO dose has been increased. I’ve been on peg interferon for 8 weeks. However, I requested quite a few weeks ago for referral to Professor Harrison at Guys, my doctor was reluctant

Prostate Biopsy
Hello everyone, I have had 2 biopsies in the last 2 years (the last one was in January 2023) with the latest one showing 1 out of 12 cores positive for Gleason 3+3 and another core suspicious for cancer. It was also noted on my last MRI that I had a bladder outlet obstruction. My PSA went as high as

hi all. I have been treated for stage 4 breast cancer with mets to the t2 and axillary node since 2016. Been on ibrance and faslidex since and doing well. I recently took a bad fall and fractured my upper arm in several places. From X-rays and Ct. scan so far it does not appear cancer related. Had two

Hi, You may have read of heard about this new treatment for solid cancerous tumors? Well if not, it's well worth while having a read about it. There are at present paid for clinical trials, as I understand in the UK offering those of a certain age a reward of a little over £7000. Posted this because

Decision Time Very Soon
My profile is updated, but briefly, diagnosed de novo, high volume metastatic in April 2022. PSA 28.2, Gleason 4+5. ADT & 6 rounds chemo brought PSA to 0.48 in Jan. 2023 & then started creeping up. In June, went over 2 & MO felt was castrate resistant. Stopped abi. and started Keytruda (I am MSI- high

What next? Is my man a candidate for Pluvicto?
I am the wife of my 14 year warrior, details in his bio. Finally after 3 PSMA scans, cancer has shown up in a few lymph nodes and in the original area of reattachment of urethra to bladder from his prostatectomy, and on the bladder wall. He has now been on Abi & Prednisone for 2 weeks, although after

Scan results
Hello everyone My centre just got MyChart so for the first time I looked at results of CT. For 3 years Onc has been saying "everything stable" and it is. I was always offered a copy of CT by clinic nurse but declined being happy to just hear "stable". Liver mets no longer showing on CT at all -

Clean PET/CT Scan - Why no treatment change?
I was diagnosed Stage 4 in 2019 and have been getting Lupron shots and taking Erleada ever since. My PSA went down to undetectable within about six months and has stayed there. I have very mild side effects (other than the loss of libido). I had bone scans in 2019 and 2020. The 2020 scan showed significant

Giant ovarian cyst- very worried
Hi Everyone , Its my first time posting here but I read some posts and it seems like a very supportive community . I am 42 and not menopausal. I ended up in hospital due to severe pain in my right ovary . After scan I was told this was as due to a raptured cyst in my ovary and nothing to worry

small cell pc options?
my father has been treating this for 5 years. New biopsy revealed small cell pc which was also in the initial biopsy. The rechallenge of carboplatin and etoposide doesn’t seem to be working. They have suggested immunotherapy ( not sure what type). Thoughts? Also any research out there regarding PRRT?

Hi again, re: Cannabis/THC use for PC
The answers I am getting are more for pain relief. Have there been any studies linking cannabis/THC to curative effects for PC or lowering PSA? Or is it just used for pain relief? Any studies on proven benefits beyond pain relief? Thanks so much. Ran across this study: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc

Finishing Olaparib
I'm 2 yrs NED and have been taking Olaparib for that time. Oncologist now finishing me as he says that it will have longer term effects on bone marrow. BRCA negative but tumour positive for mutation. But I read on this feed that some of you have been taking it for longer. I don't want to stay on a drug
