I’m still here :)
it’s been a while and my last post was not very positive . This is a quick update . I’m still unclear as to how I got here with my illness but I received palliative chemotherapy six cylcles one every three weeks. I think it was a variation of chop plus an immunotherapy drug beginning with B . The treatment

Hi there.
Still awaiting cancer checks. Still scared about that and the finger deformations since everything I have read seems to indicate that the vast majority of the time clubbing seems to be a harbinger of death. Does anyone know where I can access emotional support relatively quickly? GP said waiting times

Looking for options after Verzenio.
Spoke with my onc today and she said if Verzenio fails she’s thinking about Afinitor. Said I’m running out of options and IV chemo might not be far off after that. I’ve been on Faslodex, Anastrozole, Ibrance and Verzenio is my 3rd line of treatment. No mutations. I feel like there are many more options

Human Prostate Cancer Hallmarks Map - The PCa deep-dive guide
As a comprehensive stand-alone PCa resource and a companion to Maxone73's just posted Nature paper on repurposing drugs, here is the ultimate tool to guide your deep dive into the drivers of PCa. It is called The Prostate Cancer Hallmarks Map and is an impressive piece of work by 3 Indian researchers

Moving on to Provenge/Sipuleucel-t
We met with my husband's onc yesterday to discuss the next move since the 3 years of Abiraraterone/prednisone has run its course. His psa numbers are now around 2.0 (up from a low of .04) and psma scan indicates that bone met volume is quite low. A recent lab biopsy didn't reveal much... The good doc

Diagnosed with Richters
My history is a CLL diagnosis around Sept of 2016. I started the Ibrutinib/Venetoclax trial at MDA in Jan 2017 achieving MRD U in April 2019. Clear sailing until April ‘22 when my blood test showed .07 CLL cells that doubled every 6 months. Showing no symptoms, my Doc did not recommend treatment.

BCG - intravesical immunotherapy - Update.
Got a letter this morning giving me dates for this treatment. 7th December - 14th December and 21st December. While I am pleased to finally have got my dates, I remain uneasy as normally the outcome of biopsies are in the letter. For the first time since my diagnosis, i do not know the findings of

worried and anxious
My lung cancer growth is small and operable. I just feel so worried and anxious it’s spread. As well as the operation to remove the growth with lower lung they are going to take lymph node sampling. I wondered if this is usual and would love to hear from anyone who has had this done. I’m planning to

Afinitor +ESR1 mutation for the hive mind.
Hi I am starting Afinitor on Wednesday after a mixed scan a few weeks ago after 6 months on Orserdu. It suddenly dawned on me that Afinitor is combined with estrogen therapy, likely an AI. But doesn't the ESR1 mutation cause AI resistance? In which case does that make Afinitor less effective? I will

Post Rheumatology Appointment
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice for my Rheumatologist appointment yesterday......it was my first one and I thought I'd give an update on my experience at Benenden Hospital. I have posted this as a response in my original thread too but thought I'd start a new post to see if people found it useful
