Have you any recent full thyroid panel results (with ranges) also ferritin, folate, B12 and Vit D?
It's a case of optimising everything to get the best results
Thank you for your reply. Will need to look up ferritin...take care
Low iron can make it harder to shift weight
I am not aware of any face to face support but you can get a lot of help here and support. Lots of people struggle with their weight after having their thyroid removed and it is often something that can be resolved with better treatment. You have a legal right to your blood results and it is well worth posting them here for patient experts to comment. There is a difference between just being in range and having thyroid hormones at a optimal level. Are you taking vitmain D and the b vits as they are needed for thyroid hormones to work well.
Thanks for your reply. I do take calcium d3 forte . I am slightly undermedicalised as directed by the Cardiologist after a slight heart attack, so unfortunately it's a struggle complicated with back pain issues. It all sounds dense. But I was fortunate enough to enjoy an excellent life...health wise until 10years ago, for which I am grateful. Another positive, Slimming world group has opened nearby which I will join this coming Thursday. I a. About just under a stone overweight. Regards and thanks
There was a group originally here in Newcastle upon Tyne but it seems to have been disbanded quite a while ago. I now totally understand why, as it will be utterly exhausting to run something like that face to face. I think they have a good organisation here on the Forum with knowledgable lived experience, access to quality information which cant be found elsewhere. However I do understand the point you are at, how really nice it could be to have closer contact with similar others. It’s quite a ‘lonely’ illness in itself being hypo. One does not necessarily have the stamina for regular social contact. The Forum is well-manned and admin answer pretty quickly. You are in good company.
Stay with us.
calcium D forte contains very little vitamin D I expect you are deficient and that might explain your back pain. Thyroid hormones are in every cell of your body so if you dont have enough losts of health issues appear. Doctors tend to undertreat. You probably dont need slimming world if you can get you hormones at a good level.
Thank you. I will try with vit b supplement. It's just a college for knowledge on this site. I hope you have a good day.
I Meant vit d..😂

Not sure of your point?
You included this in your reply:
I will try with vit b supplement.
Then you followed up with another reply saying:
I Meant vit d..😂
When it might have been easier/better to edit your first reply rather than add another reply. That was all.
