hi everyone! I switched treatment after 4 years on Ibrance and it’s been definitely a major mind adjustment. Herceptin perjeta every 3 weeks and Faslodex every 4. If folks went through H/P curious how long g you were on this treatment. I have to have an echo every 4 months so can’t imagine it’s

Researchers from WEHI and Trento University (Italy) have answered an age-old question: which function helps mutant p53 fuel tumour growth?
The study revealed that the
loss of function
in the mutated p53 protein is the critical factor in cancer growth, disproving the previously suggested gain-of-function role. Using CRISPR gene editing, the researchers removed various mutated forms of p53 and found no change in cancer cell behavior

Progressing nanotechnology to improve targeted cancer treatment: not related to prostate cancer only
The article emphasizes the challenges in transitioning from lab findings to clinical applications, stressing the need for further research to optimize nanocarriers for cancer therapy. It explores the potential of nanocarriers and compounds for selective tumor targeting, including liposomes, nanoparticles

update: Zanabrutinib vs Obenven (O&V)
We are praying for Gods wisdom (James1:5), and we’re leaning toward the Zanabrutinib. The infusions and time and distance will be impactful to my husbands work and he’s prefer to go the simpler route. We learned he’s still 13Q and TP53 negative and his lymph nodes are reduced (we have used ALT for

continuing back pain
I was diagnose with 2b Ovarian Cancer in April 22. I had surgery and 6 rounds of Chemo. I have a very supportive team . I have had an MRI , CT and spinal x-ray all have shown degenerative changes to my spine. There is no evidence of recurrence. My CA125 is 13. The problem is I’m consumed with anxiety

Final Path Report After RALP (Dad - 74, G7- 4+3) , what’s next ?
Hi All, I had posted about a month ago about my dad with G7 - 4+ 3. We originally thought there were bone Mets but it just turned out to be another bone anomaly identified in the PSMA PET scan. We went ahead with RALP and have shared the final path report here. While the MRI showed no signs of

Having a mild pain where the surgery was done before 5 years
Hi, my surgery was done in 2018 and the surgeon removed maximum of my tumor. 5% of tumor was still left and because of that they keep a check on it with regular yearly MRI scans. This year I had my MRI scan done and the results were normal. But now suddenly today I am having external pain where the surgery

Brachytherapy and blocked urethra
Had brachytherapy two weeks ago. Was told everything went fine. Over next three days urinination became progressively more difficult and eventually had to go to ER (weekend) to get catheter inserted. Was told that this might happen but that after a period on catheter all should be fine. 10 days later

Clinic update
Very frustrated today, been to clinic hoping to find out about my cancer etc. No have to have biopsy re done as they ran out of tissue to test for my previous cancer. Has such a traumatic time on last biopsy that I can't face it again. I have opted for a scope but told it is 50/50 whether it will get

Enlarged Postrate
I was having problems weeing. My flow was awful and took ages just to do a dribble and so often as well. I had to sit on loo, because with all the straining I often pooped aswell. Desperate to pee, and if I didn't get to the loo in time I couldn't hold it back. I saw my doctor and had cancer test which

Newly Diagnosed Prostate Cancer
Hi, I am new here. I came to this site because my husband was just diagnosed with prostate cancer last week. MRI PI RAS 5 with an extracapsular extension, cores 4/12 positive, Gleason 7 (4+3), and PSA 4.8 (PSA 2.2 in 2022). No involvements with lymph nodes and bones on MRI. All of these seem to put

cisplatin
Hi, I was on Carboplatin, Avastin and Zem, but I got an allergic reaction from Carboplatin. My oncologist told me he will replace Carboplatin with Cisplarin for my 5 session. I am wondering if someone has been on Cisplatin and what’s yours experience with Cisplatin?

Prostate cancer treatment and IBS
Dear Friends and Sufferers! I've been diagnosed with prostate cancer and have the option of removing the prostate or radiotherapy with or without hormone treatment. Can anyone out there who has experience of these offer advise on their impact on IBS and bowel function? At the moment, I've got IBS looseness

Rapidly rising TPO Antibodies, should I be worried?
Hi again everyone. Last Monday I did a home blood test with MMH, the full health + tpo. The results came back as 199 - range 0-35. I then had a GP appointment on Friday to discuss my concerns about my recent blood results, of course she completely dismissed them and told me to get some more bloods done
