Hello, I am a 26 year old female. I have been experiencing some scary symptoms that could either be hemorrhoids or colon cancer. Colon cancer does not run in my family, I’ve never seen any kind of cancer in my family actually. I will start my saying I have very bad hypochondria. I have always had severe anxiety about health related issues, I’m not sure why but it’s crippling sometimes. Earlier this month I had bright red blood in my stool, it coated my stool and was on the toilet paper when I wiped. When I tried to examine my own butt from home I noticed a little round bulb looking thing coming out of my butthole. Besides that, no pain or any other symptoms accompanied it. I started taking preparation H and the bleeding stopped, but still saw my doctor because I was worried. She told me it was hemorrhoids, gave me a cream and some more suppositories. I thought it was getting better, the bulb looking thing sticking out of my butt was getting smaller. Then on Sunday, I noticed blood in my poop again and ever since, pooping has been painful, like a stinging feeling, but no more blood. Did I tear something? If it is a hemorrhoid why is that little bulb thing not fully going away even after treatment. This all started at the beginning of April so I would’ve thought that with treatment a hemorrhoid would be gone by now. And why did it bleed again just recently but then stop? Anyway, I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow, but keep myself awake at night looking up symptoms and reading articles about colon cancer. Any tips or advice is appreciated.

hello Iamgroot2 I know waiting for answers to your health issues is an anxious time I hope your appointment goes well today 🤍
hi there it’s sounds scary at first but you need to go to your doctors and ask for a fit test, this will be sent off for analysis, it’s the best thing to do for now, because you will be thinking all sorts your head will be racing, all the best make that call to your health professionals 🤞👌
Hi lamgroot2,
Thanks for posting with us. I'm glad you are going to get this checked out. You need a difinitive answer and "stop googling" things. I think we were all told that at one point or another during a health issue. I was told that when I was on a clinical trial.
So, at this point you've seen your doctor. What did you find out? If you got a FIT test is would come back positive as you know you have physical blood showing. What was the diagnosis for the pain you were experiencing?
Tom
