Newbie - not yet diagnosed, looking for advice
I'm not diagnosed but am looking for advice on what I should expect (based on experience over the last few years I'm not expecting a diagnosis to be easy!) Several years I've been tired, chills, heavy frequent menstrual bleeding, weight gain and loss, headaches, blurred vision, my hair seems to be moulting

Insulin Sensitivity Important to Long Life.
I copied this from my email, because I wanted to share. This is from a mailing that I am on, from P.D. Mangan, which I signed up for on the website called: Rogue Health and Fitness. --------------------------------------------------- Just how important is insulin sensitivity to health and long life?

If you are wondering about this and that - the ābest wayā to lose weight, reverse diabetes, feel better about your body image etc. you might like to reduce complexity (and the anxiety it engenders) by adopting the KISS principle (Keep Things Simple Stupid). Essentially it boils down to this:āØāØ Change

Minimal Change Disease and Diet
I was diagnosed with MCD about 15 years ago. I relapsed several times, and my creatinine levels kept rising. At my worst I had a GFR of 14. I was already on a low sodium diet. It was suggested to me that I try removing as much animal protein out of my diet as possible. When I made this change, I

Hello from me
Evening. Have done my 1st C25K section today. Absolutely loved it. This is the start of a new journey for me after losing 4 and a half stone eating low carb high fat over the past 18 months. Not sure I've ever felt better. Little way to go weight wise / size wise so hoping this will help along the way

Now, this forum is about LCHF, Low Carb High Fat. So, anyone coming here espousing the concept has to encompass dumping ALL carbohydrate (outside of course kale and berries). This is critical for any T2 diabetics, no question. And if significant obesity is the problem, then LCHF is the solution. But,

High carb diet
Hi After my 2 day assessment this week the dietician there told me that o have to up the carbs I eat, especially eating 50g an hour before I go to bed! Iām struggling with this as I have always dieted using a low carb diet and it is very alien to me. Did anyone else get told to eat more carbs?? Sam

IBS and fatty foods
Hi All, I have suffered with IBS for over twenty years. Just over 12 months ago I had my gallbladder removed. Prior to that I had the worst 12 months ever with chronic upper gastric pain etc to do with the gallstones. I went on a low fat diet and it helped a lot. Since then I have been eating reasonably

No light at the end of the tunnel!
Havenāt been on here for a while. Itās reassuring that Iām not the only one out there, although it feels that way sometimes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I see no light at the end of the tunnel. I have had so many invasive tests done, including simple blood tests that show absolutely nothing

Seen hormone specialist, more confused than ever...!
So I've been for my long overdue annual visit to my hormone doctor in Belgium and I have to admit I received quite a lot of confusing and even contradictory advice that I would love for members to comment on: First of all, when it comes to my massive weight gain (+25 kg) since being treated with high

Getting too skinny- follow up
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and replies. Iām looking for a new GP and will follow up when I find one. I have an appointment with my rheumy in a week and will discuss the weight loss with her. I will get my thyroid checked. Thereās also the option of a consultation with a dietician
