Gut friendly banana bread recipe
Is it not an act of love to cook, to bake, to mix lovingly various ingredients together? I believe this to be so. This of course means when we feel disconnected from our bodies and hopeless in our soul - we are far less likely to create these acts of love for ourselves. Please know, my sweet, you are

Low calcium level does this answer for odd symptoms
Calcium deficiency -my bloods showed level of 2.19 (I believe the normal range is 2.2 - 2.6) so only very slightly low. I am 35 and 7 weeks pregnant with my third. I have been experiencing pins and needles and numbness amongst other strange symptoms for over 3 weeks now and am concerned as to what

Will my dad be okay?
Hi all - I’m writing because I’m really worried about my dad (62 yrs). He’s been having some pain between his shoulder blades while exercising for a few months now. He went in to see his cardiologist last week, and came back with a calcium score of 2200 and an appointment for an angioplasty + at least

Disappointing hospital visit
I’m absolutely gutted. I asked to see the specialist endo that was on the list of endos provided by thyroid UK and I didn’t get to see him. I’m hypo following RAI in 2011 and my health has got much worse within last couple of years or so. Last test results in the photo. (B12 range 200-900) So apparently

Some notes on Mannitol
There has been much discussion about Teva levothyroxine in the UK and Levothyrox (formerly Euthyrox) in France and other countries - where it appears that the mannitol ingredient could be the cause of issues. I found a few papers about mannitol and thought that they could be of some interest. There

Better You Vegan Health Daily Oral Spray.
Better You Vegan Health Daily Oral Spray. Is it OK to try this? I'm Not sleeping. I am thinking of buying this, as I am unable to absorb anything now, (chronic indigestion),I have been applying magnesium chloride to my legs, feet & hips where the muscle/neuro pain is worst, but am concerned that I will

Late Update with my blood results - need help
I've been meaning to get back since last posts with my blood results but life catches up. I had a few probs that came up earlier this year which gave me a bit of a jolt. I had eye problems and of course it was over the weekend so I had to go to the Emergency at the Eye Hospital. After extensive tests

Help I’m confused
Hi there I am sure this is a familiar story but new to me so any advice welcome. Started to experience ‘heartbeat sound’ in my right ear so went for a hearing test. Audiologist said my ear was so full of wax that he couldn’t see my eardrum. Advised me to use olive oil spray then see a micro suction specialist

DEXA Dilemma - Round 2!
Warning! Long post, so grab a cup of tea/coffee first. This will either make you laugh or cry. You may need a Hobnob half way through to sustain you, even if you’re on a low carb diet! 😀 Morning all! Nope, it’s already afternoon. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!🤪 Let’s just say I’m not in

Anastrazole Side Effects Similar to Parathyroid Issues
After having a lumpectomy, I was prescribed Anastrozole in January 2019 but had some unpleasant side effects (I thought). Also I had a Dexa scan which showed the beginnings of osteoporosis. However, when I had my 6 monthly check with the consultant and explained about the aches, pains and brain fog

Broccoli and Brussels sprouts a cut above for blood vessel health.
New research has shown some of our least favourite vegetables could be the most beneficial when it comes to preventing advanced blood vessel disease. Published in the British Journal of Nutrition the research has found higher consumption of cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts

Endo Appt Bloods Results
Good morning everyone 👋. Hope you are having a good day. I have been waiting for these results to come through and they arrived this morning. Appreciate any comments or insights. My appt with my Endo was good. I took my husband along. As a lip reader, wearing masks was difficult but we managed.

Nitrate supplementation could help breathing and lung clearance in the elderly.
New research published today in The Journal of Physiology shows that nitrate improves function in the diaphragm, the muscle involved in coughing and breathing, by improving power. The study done in old mice, if replicated in humans, could provide a strategy for helping elderly people clear the lungs

Possibly getting off exforge
I've had some strange health issues over the last 5-6 years and starting to wonder whether it's the exforge because I can find no other cause of this. Years ago, I think after I started exforge, I started to get random aches and pains in my arms and hands, but it was not so bad so I generally ignored

Acid reflux
Does anyone find that taking blood pressure medications makes their reflux worse. I started with Silent reflux back in early 2014 I have managed to keep under control with diet. I started taking Amlodipine since March and I am having issues. Apparently calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, and Ace
