Restless Legs in Pregnancy
Hi everyone, I am not even sure why I am writing this message - partly because I want to vent; partly because I would like some advice. I have had about 2-3 episodes of mild and short lasting (3ish days) of restless legs outside of pregnancy. I remember the restless legs to be quite bad in my first pregnancy

Cortisol and high reverse T3
I've been suffering for over a year now with no new answers as to what's going on with me. I worked a very stressful job last year and it sent me over the edge. I never really had issues with thryoid that I knew of. As my stress increased I got bad insomnia. I couldn't sleep for days. I felt like I was

Hi, I just had a telephone consultation with my cardiologist. I have now been prescribed ranolozine. Is anyone else taking this medication ? I was unsure if it was in addition to calcium channel blockers or in addition to.

Covid-19 Stress and High Blood Pressure
Given blood pressure drugs and a little valium to help, but also started on Citalopram 10mg to manage the stress, been on for 3 days but not feeling good with this medication. Thinking of coming off and use up the valium as blood pressure should be back under control. Any comments on the effectiveness

Anyone else with op trying to manage their IBS\food intolerances when trying to eat more calcium rich foods
He didn't say that
calcium
citrate was easier absorbed than
calcium
carbonate
or that I shouldn't take the supplement with an oxalate foods. Sorry about the rant but if even an NHS registered dietitian cannot advise you fully on a diet and supplements how do you manage?

Low stomach acid /hypothyroidism
First time I write after reading many post and learning a lot... I'm a retired french psychiatrist interested in weight problems and convinced that mild hypothyroidism is extremely frequent and underdiagnosed in post menopausal women I wonder if there isn't a vicious circle in these common problems:

Easter cookies made with ground sesame seeds and ground quinoa.
Hi everyone, As it's Easter and we're all in lockdown I thought I'd share these cookies I made today they're supposed to be biscuits but they're more like cakes. I ground some sesame seeds and quinoa in a coffee grinder and added those to some S/R GF flour and they came out a treat. Sesame seeds pack

GCA & COVID-19 Can Mimic Each Other
Sorry, after saying I wasn't interested in posting about Covid19, this article (which appears to be written by Dr Sarah L Mackie) popped up! It is directed at doctors and talks about diagnosing and distinguishing GCA from Covid19. Interestingly (and surprisingly to me) the article says, "Don’t worry

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Any PD Patients Reluctant to Visit Clinic?
Is anyone else having a problem trying to convince their dialysis clinic -- with State and County shelter-in-place orders -- that coming into the clinic, with hemodialysis patients present (some of which have been diagnosed with covid-19) is something you would like to put off for at least a month of

Losing my mind
My depression and anxiety are getting worse and I don't know how to deal with it. The only meds I have right now are valium and I'm eating through them. I'm having panic attacks every day again. I'm currently looking for an online psychiatrist but it's so hard to find one that takes my insurance and

Another diagnosis - GCA confirmed
Hello everyone I hope you are all ok during this very difficult time. I just thought I would update you on this and ask this lovely community a couple of questions. About 5 months ago I posted about a severe, left sided headache and received some very helpful replies. Last week, I was diagnosed with

Avoiding the damage ADT can do to your body
I've seen here and in the advanced prostate cancer forum some threads on avoiding becoming a blob, and using calcium and D3 to maintain bone strength. I've seen threads with complex formulas of supplements to take to avoid some ADT inflicted body damage. I more or stumbled across this talk - and found
