Good morning everyone đ. Hope you are having a good day.
I have been waiting for these results to come through and they arrived this morning. Appreciate any comments or insights.
My appt with my Endo was good. I took my husband along. As a lip reader, wearing masks was difficult but we managed. I took a list of questions and he covered each one in turn, was very supportive and receptive. This was the top guy I saw this time and I got the impression he was not impressed with my previous two Endo appts which were with Locums apparently. There was definitely a rolling of the eyes and tutting as he looked at their notes.
Anyway, here are the scores on the doors:-
It states:
âThyroid function tests show a good result
(There are no ranges listed but all my tests at the hospital have been the same lab ranges as in the image attached with my previous yearâs results. I have blanked out Dr names and hospital name)
TSH 1.04mu/l
Serum Free Thyroxine 20.6pmol/l
As you know, with thyroid replacement therapy, we aim to keep the TSH within the target range 0.3 - 2.5mu/l.
Vitamin B12 Level is excellent at 853ng/l on oral supplements.
Serum folate is also excellent at 11.1ug/l
Serum iron is normal at 10.2umol/l
Serum ferritin is normal at 199.0ug/l
Serum magnesium is 0.86mmol/l
Serum calcium remains normal at 2.44mmol/l
Vitamin D Level has risen well to 82nmol/l
Anti thyroid Peroxidase antibody Level is elevated at 37iu/ml. I await the results on various autoantibody levels.â
I DID ask him if my bloods showed I might be a poor converter and he said he would look at that.
He also corrected me saying Hashimotoâs is no longer a term used and it is âautoimmune thyroid diseaseâ. But yes - I have it.
Thanks in advance. đ
