How are you feeling?

Congratulations on having a baby, I didn’t have children but understand that endo can cause all sorts of issues sometimes.

I hope you get some replies as there have been posts in the past so could be worth a search. The Endo UK support helpline I’ve found useful.

Hope you weren’t hit too badly by covid and you get a date soon for Laparoscopy. Is the op with an Endo specialist?

Hi. Your situation sounds like mine. My endometriosis was discovered when I had my c section 11 years ago but was never followed up. It was mentioned to by husband while I was really poorly. 9 years later I went to gp with heavy periods which I’ve had all my life and she sent me for a scan which revealed ovarian cyst- a chocolate cyst. I’ve just had a womb biopsy.

I have abdominal and lower back pain almost constantly but not so bad I need to take pain relief. Issues with bowels. Sometimes awful pain mid cycle. My main issue is heavy periods which I take transexamic acid for which I do find helps but extends my period.

At my last appointment I was put on the waiting list for both my ovaries to be removed but I’m going to get a private consultants opinion. Just waiting on the biopsy results first. Obviously if I went down that route it would put me into menopause but I’m already on the way judging by the hot flushes.

I’m quite overwhelmed with the sheer amount of information and decisions to be made.
