How Do Those on T3 or Combo Therapy Navigate TSH Obsessed Doctors
After my pitiful NHS results in December ( before starting self sourced T3) my GP increased my Levo to 200mcg a day. I haven't been taking that much, obviously as I'm taking 150mcg of Levo and 12.5mgs of T3. The GP I spoke to said retest February and unfortunately my surgery have been uncharacteristically

B12 expiry date
I ordered from Germany last year, not realising the expiry date. I have 2 boxes of 10 ampoules that expired December 2023.. 😕 can I still use them.On a positive note I took a chance to call my GP surgery for a prescription it must be my lucky year, they said yes!! I had previously saved conversations

Zoladex experience
Just wanted to hear other people's experiences on Zoladex if possible because I don't know if my symptoms are all in my head or I'm just being made to feel that way by the consultant. Who's only advice every time I go for a review every couple of months day just keep going with it a little bit longer

I have a prolapsed stoma which is 4 inches long and 55mm in diameter I've also herniated my bowel with it being 10cm in length. I also have 1 metre of small bowel left so not really much at all when

Pregnancy: Stage 4 endometriosis and some adenomyosis
Hi All I am wondering if there’s anyone who has had a successful pregnancy, despite having stage 4 endometriosis and some adenomyosis, with no surgery involved? I would like to know if it’s possible for inspiration. Thanks for your time.

Pred dose post hip operation
Hi, and thank you in advance to all who have the patience to read this long story, and the kindness to offer advice: I have so many things going on at the moment! Currently, PMR seems like the least of my problems, and I’m hoping I can ride the other medical turmoil I’m in without it raising it’s head

Advice - cysts and TTC
Just posting to see if anyone has been in the same position or can offer any advice! I had surgery last June where they found stage 4 endo. I had 2 large chocolate cysts one on my left around 8cm and the one on my right 10cm. The surgery wasn’t done in a endo centre which now I realise probably should

Follow up to Monday CABG
First of all I want to thank you all for the messages of support i received before my operation on the 19th of February. The good news is that my triple bypass was a success ! I spent a total of 10 days in hospital, I had a few ups and downs, but overall I have had a positive experience, albeit sometimes

Pericardial Window
I had my 2cd thoracentesis. It was more painful and for a very long time. They did drain a little more 950 ml. I am waiting for a thoracic surgery appointment. We will discuss possible placement of a pleural catheter for drainage, possible pleurodesis. And something new: turns out a lot of the chest

A Clinical Trial saved my Life ..12 years a Survivor of Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer, Stage 4.
When Alfred Samuels was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2012, it felt as if his world had fallen apart overnight. Doctors said surgery wasn’t an option for him because the cancer had spread beyond his prostate, and he started to lose hope. But then he joined a clinical trial and began treatment

Skin not adhered in one part
I have an issue with the skin just at the top of my shaft, in most places but this one the skin is not able to be moved down the shaft, whereas this one piece of skin appears to be loose and can be pulled back to show under the skin. It’s more noticeable now that I’ve had sex without a condom (it’s been

Frustrated, and left in limbo....
Tough times are here chez CB. Had a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (UK). No disability allowance for me. To be fair, I don't consider myself disabled, but .... well lets put it like this. My hands are swollen like two balloons. (pink floyd reference!) I can't cook (i haven't cooked

Can I have sex before a laparoscopy
Hi, I am having my laparoscopy on Tuesday and was wondering if anyone knew about being able to have sex before surgery? Is there a certain amount of time before that I should stop? Any answers for this would be amazing.
