Hi All
I am wondering if there’s anyone who has had a successful pregnancy, despite having stage 4 endometriosis and some adenomyosis, with no surgery involved?
I would like to know if it’s possible for inspiration.
Thanks for your time.

Hi I have endo stage 2 and my surgery went really well and helped massively with pain and symptoms. Also I wanted to say that my best friend has endo stage 4 (no surgery) and has 2 children 😊. However she is likely to require surgery as things are getting worse over time with her symptoms.
I hope that helps !

Thanks for your response.
Do you happen to know whether your friend has stage 4 at the time she conceived any of her children? And did she conceive naturally or via IVF.
Doctors are of view that surgery doesn’t help with IVF.
She was diagnosed 2 years after her last son was born but she was likely to have it before. The two children were conceived naturally. In my experience with endo is good to ask for a second opinion as not many doctors know how the disease work. I’ll recommend to follow Dr Andrea Vidali on Instagram. He is a great specialist and shares very useful info about this topic.

Hi Roses, I have stage iv diagnosed when I was 35 via laproscapy. Due to the extent of endometriosis I required IVF. I had an unsuccessful fresh round and a successful frozen one, which resulted in my baby. Whilst I didn't manage to conceive surgery free I am of the view it was right for me as I was in so much pain it was impacting my quality of life. If you're under the care of a specialist endo centre let them know about you're wish for a baby do they can support you in whatever you decide. All the best xxx
Hi I have stage 4 and am about to start a fresh private cycle. I have kissing ovaries, but despite this they think they may be able to access one. I am hoping even if it is not successful pregnancy wise that they may be able to freeze some blastocysts. My next step would be to get surgery to unstick the ovaries and hopefully clean up the endo. The blastocysts would be a bcak in case something happens during surgery. I would most likely go privately for this due to the long waiting times in NI. But we will see what happens! Hopefully other girls on this have more success stories.
Hello… I have stage 4 endo and adeno and has successful IVF, first attempt. She will be 17 in July! It’s possible. I was told probably no kids even with IVF. Look after yourself, take supplements, do acupuncture, have the surgery to rid the scar tissue and keep trying.
That is lovely to hear! Did you have any surgery to remove the endometriosis prior to the IVF?
Yes I had a laparotomy 1998, a laparoscopy 2001, a laparotomy 2003 and then again in 2006. I was in surgery (had a bilateral salpingectomy) in the July 2006, and was pregnant by Oct the same year. If anyone had told me that was going to happen I would have said they were crazy! If I hadn’t have had the salpingectomy the IVF would not have worked because having damaged tubes actually creates a toxic environment. They were no use to me anyway so I opted to have them out at the same time they were sorting the endo. Best decision I ever made!
