Double bypass surgery

2 years today, I had my double bypass op instead of triple. See my G P last week and he was very pleased with my recovery. I feel good and enjoy life with my family and grandchildren. Anyone just recovering or waiting for surgery, I wish he all the best.Wishing he all a very Happy Christmas and Happy New Year 2023

Hi Bishop1, thank you for your lovely uplifting post. I am due for a review with my GP after Xmas. Would you mind my asking did you have tests done to check your progress please? Many thanks Judi

Hi Heyjude31. I'm having an E C G after Christmas. I have blood tests every 3 months and I have to have urine tests with next bloods. He also examined my heart and lungs. Wishing you good luck. When is your appointment?. How long since bypass?

Hello Bishop1, thank you for your lovely reply. I am seeing a Cardiologist in mid January. Not my surgeon, I have seen him 3 times but naturally he is very busy and everything was fine. I am going to see a Cardiologist privately so I can have a good review. I understand that this should be through the GP but I don’t seem to get much support. I am hoping that I can arrange all the various tests that you mention. If I need to come back to the GP I will do and hope for the best! My bypass was just over 14 months ago.
