Hi, Has anyone every experienced surgery cancelled on the day. I was booked in for stage 4 endo and bowel surgery, however this was cancelled at 4pm, after arriving at 7am at the hospital as the client before me was complex and the surgeons ran out of time. What is the process of having a new date offered

Has anyone here seen an endometriosis nurse if so what help can they provide?
Hello, I am based in Wales and was diagnoised with endo when I was 18 via laparoscopy and now 25 and still have major issues. Even on the pill and implant I have chronic pelvic pain, fatigue, quite often pain when opening bladder and bowel, sometimes uncomfortable intercourse and low moods. I may

Well my time has come.
I’m all ready for my operation to replace my aortic valve tomorrow morning. Hopefully first down at 8am. Scared but positive. This group has helped me so much ❤️🩹 Good luck to anyone else who’s having their surgery x

Medication Review
I have booked a medication review for next Tuesday. This will be my first such review since May last year. As always the surgery has not sent me a blood test form so there will be no real discussion and nothing will be gained from the exercise, but I now have two questions for the pharmacist who will

Confused and need advise
Hello, it took 8 years for diagnosis of endometriosis. Already had children and decided it was better to have a hysterectomy, however left my ovaries to prevent early menopause. Graves/hyperthyroid - not severe but wish me luck!
Greetings to fellow thyroid sufferers! Weight loss of 1.5 stones since the start of the year sent me off to my GP surgery. After numerous tests the only thing that showed up was a thyroid problem. Tests were repeated a week later to confirm. Apart from the weight loss my symptoms are bowel movts

Hello...How is everyone?
Happy Friday everybody. I haven't posted for a while and for that I apologise. Work has been soooo busy and hectic. That aside, I'm genuinely wondering how people are doing. I had my last surgery in March and had a wobbly recovery but, I have to say, things are definitely improved the last few months

Hearing loss
My upcoming AN surgery will result in permanent hearing loss in my left ear. What is the experience of living with hearing in only one ear, and has anyone had cochlear implants? How effective are they?

How to get more information about neurosurgeons?
Hi, Thanks for accepting me to this group, having been diagnosed with a meningioma tumour 2 weeks ago, following a seizure, and having been referred for surgery to remove it. I've had a bit of a panic this week, after Googling the spelling of the name of my neurosurgeon for a DVLA form, and finding

Endo/ibs/perimeno/which one!?
Hi all. Very new here. I guess I’m just looking to see if anyone has any similar issues, a bit of reassurance and advise me on what the heck I’m meant to be doing! Went on the contraceptive pill at 17 as I got the most horrendous pain that would make me pass out nausea etc and they were very heavy.

Laproscopy NHS
Hi all. I was diagnosed with adeno and endo 3 months ago using a pelvic MRI and put on dienogest which seems to be helping reduce pain. I have a few questions on laproscopy. My gynae suggested she could go in to confirm diagnosis and remove endo if I wanted but we agreed to wait to see how well the

Undiagnosed Hypothyroidism
I've been experiencing hypothyroid symptoms for a couple of years now. My TSH has been steadily creeping up, but so far has remained in the "normal" range when checked in my local surgery, around 3.4. I had some private tests done and my TSH was shown as 4.4 (June) and 5.9 (August). My second test

Looking for advice
Hi everyone, sorry this is so long but really need some advice...I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around 13-14 years ago in my early 20s (now 35). I have been on 50mcg per day of levothyroxine since then. I have annual blood tests after which I'm always told that there's been no change and to continue
