Private endocrinologist discharged me back to my surgery as he "could not" treat me with my TSH being back in range, positive TPO in the 300's & ultrasound showing small thyroid (ords) still highly symptomatic, saw another GP at the practice really to ask for a 2nd opinion. New GP listed my symptoms (previous GP did not) on my records & told me he is prepared to treat me, he can see I'm "suffering" & "let's see" what helps, hurrah! I asked for LDN (inflammation) & levothyroxine, starting on 50, finally there's light at the end of the tunnel! Thank you so so much to everyone on here, knowledgeable, helpful, kind & supportive when you feel really lost & low xx

Hope the new GP continues to listen and understand, sounds promising.
Gluten free diet for Hashi's
Make sure your dose is monitored.....test 6/8 weeks after each increase until symptoms resolve.
First increase to 75mcg levo
Good luck
Thank you 🙂 my choice of endocrinologist I'm afraid, was before I joined this group! It is shocking though the huge difference in everyone's treatment & care, I was expecting a "battle" to be honest!I've been gluten free & lactose free (advice from here) for a few months now & feel a little better, supplementing as advised, again on here, it all helps 😊
I wish you continued health x
WOW! I’m not surprised at an Endo being rubbish but I am at a knowledgeable GP !
Hang on to that GP
