Stomach and chest pain following food
I have been prescribed
buscopan
, lanprazole and co-codamol to take but even that is not providing lasting relief. I have taken a drastic look at my diet and at the moment the only food I can eat without a reaction is cereal.

Pain killer advice please! - At the moment taking Meveberine, Diclofenac, Co-codamol and still get pain.
Buscopan
was very good to me for a while but I got used to it and it is not effective anymore. I miss it though... What kind of painkiller are you taking, please?

My journey from misery to hope.
I had IBS so he gave me
Buscopan
which did no good so he gave me strong codeine. One year I went on holiday and I had constant complete loss of bowel control and was taking codeine every day just to enable me to go out. He sent me for a colonoscopy which revealed no underlying disease.

I suffer from ibs-d and find buscopan works quite well for the stomach cramps. Why does my gp say I can't take it long term?

Feeling a bit fobbed off
Again at the time I agreed to give
buscopan
a go but the pain was bad yesterday and today. It seems to be going down my left leg and I'm starting to feel quite low and as if I'm not being taken seriously. What I'd really like is some decent pain relief that enables me to function.

Advice please on how to take Mebeverine and stronger antispasmodic tablets?
This is about the same pain / pain free level as when I was taking
Buscopan
. I am new to take Mebeverin and my GP didn't really explain that I had to take it 20 minutes before the meal which learnt from the paper in the tablets' box.

Confused with the different medications
Have been reading the posts and now wondering about
Buscopan
. Does it relieve the trapped wind and cramps. Also been reading it usually happens at a younger age than mine. I'm 55.

I need advice with medication please.
Right now i have
buscopan
and i can take pepermint oil tablets as well although i don't like to take them together. My latest episode has gone on for over two weeks now with severe stomach pain at what point do people believe its time to revisit my GP and get it checked again.

Does anyone take anti-spasm tablet for pain apart from Buscopan?
I take max dose of
Buscopan
(2 tablets 4 times a day). It used to work but now no. I had my appointment today and my consultant told me to get different kind of anti-spasm tablets from GP as I probably got used to
Buscopan
too much. Thanks.

I've been given Colpermin and have recently bought hyoscine butyl bromide/
Buscopan
but neither seem to help. I was on NSAID's for sciatica over the years which affect the stomach and was prescribed amitriptiline for the same condition but found it too sedating.

Swelly belly solutions anyone?
Anyway, I have tried things like
buscopan
, warm drinks, hot water bottle and even fruit. Without too much info I am going regular to the toilet although it hurts - I have endo on my bowel. I had a bath last night which helped relax me but that seemed to make it swell more??

Unusual timing?
I currently take
buscopan
and peppermint oil capsules but have also tried audmonal and mebeverine in the past, i find that
buscopan
gives the best if not total relief. I do have a high stress job i suppose (nursing) but i don't find it stressful.
