I suffer from ibs-d and find buscopan works quite well for the stomach cramps. Why does my gp say I can't take it long term?

I take buscopan once a day as well as other meds and I was told its fine long term. I have been on it for five years now.
I've been taking it for 2 years, one of the best medications. I take 2 tablets every 6 hours, it does cause diarrohea but it helps with the pain. I feel like there's a brick in my stomach at times. Feeling uncomfortable. You need to find out why he's taking them off. As he may be cutting down meds in the surgery due to money. Not thinking they are helping much. You got a right to speak out. Worth asking why? If it helps tell the doctors its helpful.
Or your Dr might be concerned with the fact that long term use of any drug can cause other side effects.
