Buscopan

Buscopan started a week ago, cramps certainly less. I had envisaged buscopan as a "fix all", sadly it only looks after the cramps. I still get these ordinary days, and then the bad day (was every 5 days but last wave was a fortnight ago, hence my false hope on buscopan).

Hi has anyone had a gynae pelvic mri without contrast dye and buscopan and it actually show your endometriosis or adenomyosis?

Wondering if anyone had side effects from Buscopan? I was prescribed last Thursday and took it that day and Friday and started to feel a bit off. Woke up Saturday with a blinding headache like I’d never had before. I tried my migraine medication but that didn’t touch it.

Can you please advise if Buscopan or Mebeverine is better for stomach cramps. Many thanks

I am Currently taking up to 8 paracetamol 8 buscopan and 8 codeine per day, peppermint tea and regular use of hot water bottle. Although this treatment used to help the pain is getting steadily worse. Anyon have any suggestions for pain relief

Hi my GP awhile ago prescribed Buscopan or Mebeveribe to take for bloating I’m waiting for a colonoscopy as I’ve got suspected IBD. I wondered do either of these drugs make Chrons or Colitis worse at all? I noticed sometimes they make me feel abit worse. Thanks

Thankfully buscopan helps.

Also I do take Buscopan when the pain gets too much, but the effect of them doesn't seem to last long and the pain comes back way before I can take another dose. Is there a more effective anti spasmodic.

Also been prescribed Butylbromide by Dr, in your opinion, is this as good as Buscopan, and how much to take

I am using Movicol, senna and buscopan. I also find my IBS reacts to my anxiety (diagnosed with GAD). I try to avoid stressors but life does keep throwing curveballs.

I find buscopan works when I’m having a flare up. I too get the constant need to poop accompanied chronic wind.( not the best combo) I do relate with being scared to go far! I have diverticular disease. I’ve also been told I have IBS. Buscopan is my go too so give it a try.

It gets worse after I eat, but doesn't subside after a bowel movement..Tried Buscopan/Merbeverine/Peppermint before and nothing makes any difference..

Was given morphine & Buscopan Bloods again ok Ultra sound showed I had multiple cysts. 2 of which are 8 & 9cm in diameter.

I’ve tried buscopan on advice of IBS nurse, started to give me constipation. Now trying Colpermin peppermint oil. Genuinely need some good advice as I’m very nervous of taking more probiotics but I’m presuming they will eventually be the answer. Thanks

After 2 weeks I went to the pharmacy and took buscopan and one tablet of imodium. This helped solidify the BM.

I take Buscopan, I've no cramping but the pain is no better. Often I take chamomile tea and it helps more than buscopan, what gives?

I’ve had no help with NHS at all, they told me to try Buscopan!! Has anyone else had a nodule removed at all? I’m having an MRI and then meeting plastic surgeon who will be doing the operation to remove along with the gynae consultant. xx
