Sensation of smell, or a taste in your mouth, with deja vu
Hi all, popped over here from the Action on Depression community. Was just wondering if anyone else had ever experienced (prior to or during a panic attack) either a powerful sensation of a smell, or a taste in their mouth, at the same time as a disorientating feeling of deja vu? I used to get that

Macaroon Danger
Hi Everyone, a quick hopefully humorous note. Part of my heritage is Jewish (my mother was half Jewish and we also have a Quaker heritage, interesting combination) and a friend gave me a box of macaroons for Passover. They are lovely and I love Jewish food. Last night, I thought I would have just

Weekend Wit- keeping with the golf theme
A couple were playing around of golf on the weekend of their 40th anniversary, just as they have done every weekend since they first met, and to celebrate their special occasion were given a sumptuous meal and champagne, laid on by the golf club as a gift. At the table the husband plucked up courage

Update on Jack and Sophie
If you have read my posts before, Jack and Sophie are brother and sister who were involved in a serious car accident 18 months ago, and both now have brain injuries, different brain injuries. After a rough week, I feel I can off load on here. I attended a Children's Brain Injury conference last week

Good news after the disaster of ATOS
Got home feeling really fed up after the ATOS fiasco (see my earlier post) to find a letter from Addenbrookes from the immunologist saying that I need immunoglobulin therapy and a £10 gift card from M&S after I complained! At least hopefully once the therapy starts I won't suffer from continual infections

Medic Alert Products
I don't often ask questions, and although it's not fibro related (for which I apologise, but I trust people here :-) ). I wonder if anyone has any experience with acquiring medic alert products. As well as fibro and various other things I have a blood clotting disorder similar in some ways to haemophilia

Driving assessment
Could anyone tell me what is involved in a driving assessment after a head injury? In July 2012 I was involved in a serious car accident and had serious brain injury. I don't remember anything about the accident and informed DVLA and after over a year they have decided I have to have a driving assessment

I had an accident today on my bike. twice I misjudged the pavement and came off my bike. I am ok, but a little shaken and shocked.
I wonder if it is cause of my brain injury and it will get worse as the years go by. I`m 38 and worried about the future. I have learning difficulties and can be quite clumsy

I really don't know anymore.
Guys. I'm totally exhausted this neuropsychologist is really letting me down. I don't even have the energy to write about it. My scores came back so low, that he is not taking them seriously. Basically he's denying that the loss of consciousness from alcohol poisoning for 7 hours did any lasting brain

How do you learn a language with a brain injury?
Of course, I don't mean it's the language that's got a brain injury.... This question related to a very narrow post by ZEBLET(?) in Negeen's Unsupportive Families post... <my original post> This is one of the "interesting" areas of memory problems. I'm looking at a mathematical paper and making sense

Help advice needed.
Hi I was hoping for some advice. Let me give you some background about me first. I'm 29 a mixed martial artist (cage fighter), a term I hate and never use but it is easier to explain what I do. Right the reason for this post is because last August I was involved in a serious accident. This accident
