Oops clumsy!
Just lately I have been very clumsy I've been dropping stuff with the most recent being a chocolate cupcake on the kitchen floor. I've been walking into walls and doors and have 'missed' my chair at work a couple of times. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Oh and one more thing, I am an

Hi, Ive just discovered this community. I have had depression for many years but was only diagnosed about 18months ago.
I am trying different strategies to overcome my feelings of despair, worthlessnes, negativity, lack of motivation the list goes on. These strategies include exercise - I play golf (hence the nick name) and I go to the gym. I like 'me' time where I listen to music and read social network sites such as

haven't been able to get near the PC all day as been very busy! I went to see my GP today, after the last time when he "code red" ed me to the hospital with pneumonia, I was a litttle anxious, but he was lovely and gave me the repeat prescription I needed, even found me a gastric- coated version

How do I help my husband?
I've been suffereing with anxiety for past 5-7 months. Husband seems very apathetic and not with it. He seems to have no energy and isn't sleeping. I am worried that he to may be feeling anxious- and this is why he is unable to suppor me. He lost his job last year- I think he became depressed. I

something new........but not welcome, any advice ?
well, now that I have introduced myself here I thought I'd share and ask for advice regarding a new turn of events. I have always been a worrier to some degree, however there was a time where I would get to a certain point and I would say f**k it ! that certain point has now appeared to disappear, but

Brilliantly simple, simply brilliant!
In recent days Mum seems to have "forgotten" how to drink :-( When we put the cup to her lips instead of putting her lips round the cup she clamps them tight shut and just sits there with the cup resting against her closed mouth. Having just had a catheter inserted everyone keeps telling us how important

First time blogger looking for information.
hello, I'm here looking for information about side effects of meningitis. I had meningitis at the age of 15 and am now 27. I recently turned to the internet to figure out why my memory is so bad and why I act the way I do. Until now I always just thought that I was stupid or mental and berate myself

ECT electroconvulsive therapy... used to be called electro shock therapy
I have been back to my Psychiatrist and reported no improvement in depression/anxiety with Emsam patch-selegiline. This is after numerous attempts with SSRI's and SNRI's. He wants to try lamactil which is used for bipolar and seizures thinking I might be bipolar. If that fails he wants to try ECT.

DLA appeal
I got a reply from DLA refusing to award me any rate for either mobility or care. I went to the CAB because the person who helped me do the form was almost sure I was going to get some help but he wasn't there. The person i spoke to didn't know much about this and his boss said to him that it wasn't

Update on Mum after Ileostomy ? Abraxane chemotherapy
Mum has made remarkable progress since her emergency ileostomy in March. She has today had the results of a scan performed last week. She has been advised that there is a raise in her CA125 from 155 to 281, but the scan shows minimal disease. The thought is that no treatment is needed at the moment

It's difficult to cope with PSP
My dear mother, who will be 89 in two weeks, was diagnosed with PSP on 30 April last year. Over the previous 3 years, she had increasingly suffered many falls, the last one on Aug 31 2011 resulted in her breaking her neck. Miraculously, she has recovered from the neck injury having undergone surgery
