Hi, newbie here
Hi was diagnosed with fibro last year which came on after a fall at work. Am having to use a stick at the moment cos I'm scared of falling lat on my face when my gammy knee gives way. Now that would be a sight to see!! I've tried all the usual pain meds and now am taking duloxetine daily with tramadol

Statin drugs - Yeah Right!!
I started getting pain around two years ago, in my arms and shoulders, so one of the doctors put me on
Brufen
retard
800. I thought that would fix a bit of the problem. It didn't so as the pain was still there I researched about statin drugs. I cut them out about July last year.

On prednisolene but have been given Tildiem Retard today for suspected heart problem.
It says in the leaflet that it can increase the effects of methylprednisolone? Is that the same Pred I am on for my PMR?

Does anyone feel ill after having a filling repaired by the dentist?
I felt ill and very tired after the dental appointment yesterday. Head feels like cotton wool and definitely not working at full strength today. I have MCTD that has affected my eyesight and I am now registered as severely sighted. I am taking low dose of Prednisolone and Brufen. Has anyone had this

My 14 year old presents with 4 Lupus symptoms but because her blood tests aren't showing antibodies the consultant said it can't be Lupus...
However despite seen the consultant paediatric rheumatologist last friday after her ultrasounds which shown no joints inflamation, we are still worried it might be. She started feeling unwell on the 9th of Feb, one week of extreme fatigue, then joint pains, a malar rash (which lasted 6 days). Since then

Just remembered
For those of us with smog rents and sore feet this might amuse!! I was trying to sleep in between the blooming air con making me think someone was breaking into my room, I even called security who seemed to think I was daft ( probably the right conclusion ) , anyway I reached onto my bedside cabinet

The WORST illness I've EVER endured!!!
I was just diagnosed with Viral Meningitis approximately 2 weeks ago. :( After 1 day from returning from a short vacation trip, I began to have a piercing headache that just didn't seem to want to go away. So I went back to work for 1 day and took lots of IB Profen & Excedrin all day, but it just wasn't

ABG reading of 10
The Rapid response nurses visited yesterday to do a ABG reading, they had trouble obtaining one at the clinic last time I attended as my ear lobes are very small and don't yeild blood willingly. My consultant said she was hoping to wean me off suplementary oxygen don't want to cause type 11 COPD ????

Adalat retard instead of Nifedipine ?
I have been on Nifedipine three times a day for about two years for Raynaurds and had no side effects as far as I am aware, unless my lack of appitite or anxiety is one. But my doctor has told me I won't be able to continue with Nifedipine as it is no longer available, I have been given Adalat retard

Well after completing WK2 I had a week off due to some knee pain. I've been power walking fine for weeks before starting C25K, week one was fine too but that advice off Laura on week 2 totally shot my knees with the heel striking :-/ Decided to take a week off as I was hobbling about at work this

Has anyone ever had painful swollen breast and pain in the area around it?
I saw a GP (not my own) last week because I had really acute pain in my right breast. I noticed it was swollen and bigger than usual but not red or inflamed. I asked if it was related to FMS - but this GP said it wasn't a 'real' illness. He said there wasn't a lump and they looked normal to him.

Newbie to the site but old hand at dealing with RA. This is my story...
Hi everybody. I thought I'd introduce myself. I am 48 years old and have had RA since 1973. So, I'm afraid this is rather a long post so forgive me but I hope it will help some of you dealing with RA. Originally diagnosed with Still's, my parents were told there was every likelihood I would
