First meeting with pulmonologist
The more I looked over the experience and what lead up to it, I noticed the following (a) that the warning signs were familiar - feeling kind of wonky and needing to divert some small energy/attention to
breathing
because
breathing
itself had become a form of
exercise
(b) that my way of coping with that

Dilemma! Should I have started the antibiotics and now that I have, should I finish the course?
I've not long been diagnosed with Bronchiectasis and to coincide with that my symptoms changed as well which I'm still trying to figure out. Last Friday, I began to feel really quite unwell again, I had night fevers, being sick when doing physio breathing exercises, pain in my right lung and displaced

Postural Drainage?
I've not been given a number and I'm not sure I want one :)
Exercise
definitely helps with the
breathing
and oxygen levels while making the body work a bit. I walk the dog then go for a 20 - 30 min walk after for the Cardio vascular bit.

T4 out - T3 in. Am I recovering?
After this first year I kept feeling Toxic, anxious, jittery, tight chested with
breathing
difficulties during the lightest of
exercise
. Further Bloods and Adrenal Tests ordered. GP Refused! Adrenals were not so bad, cock eyed as to times of highs and lows but DHEA had dropped off the scale.

Atrovent
So...slightly confused here re Atrovent. Anyone else on it and have experience/opinion/things they've been told on how often you can/should take it? I'm taking it as a reliever atm as directed by GP and now former cons at St Mary's- he said Ventolin might be adding to problems as I was using it a lot

Best nebulisers
Hello everyone. I have bronchiectasis. I nebulise hypertonic saline, then breathing exercises before inhaling nebulised colomycin twice a day. My question is to find out from those of you who perform this routine, what are the best nebulisers? I have been loaned one from the NHS, but it is heavy

Cravings - Friend or Foe... How do you see yours?
Looking at cravings... They really can be quite funny things, do we see them as the enemy and get all negative about them because of the way they make us feel? Or do we see them as our friend, and welcome them in when they come visiting? At the end of the day, they wouldn't be here if we didn't stop

Number of Huffs - does it matter?
I've just been diagnosed with Bronchiectasis and have been given breathing exercises to help clear my lungs. I do have an infection at the moment and am on my 3rd week of antibiotics. What I was wondering was, the exercises say to do 1-2 huffs however would it do my lungs any harm if I were to do

Breathing Exercise (2) How to cough up what's not supposed to be there...
When you first stop smoking, you may feel that you have more phlegm and mucus on your chest. This may cause you to feel a bit rattly and as though you need to 'cough something up'... Doesn't sound very nice, I know but this is a good sign. At the end of the day, you are only coughing up what

Armless and Frozen Peas
For today's amusement it's my arms that are giving me the most pain, closely followed by the shoulders and lower back. Me thinks a game of windmills is out. Today is The Boys 14th birthday, he's happily scoffing jerky and playing a new Xbox game, gift from one sister. Funny to think that about this

Breathing Exercise (1).... Quick exercise that can be done anywhere and is easy to learn
Using a deep
breathing
exercise
is an effective way of calming yourself down. This exercise can be done anywhere from sitting down in a chair to waiting for a bus.
