hemorrhoids or colon cancer?
Hi, I’m 27 and I’ve struggled with IBS for years, mostly IBS-C. Sometimes I’ll go through these bouts where it’ll be hard stool, then softer, and then explosive diarrhea. I had one of those last night and an hour or so later I went to the toilet again, only to see what I think is a blood clot in the

Comparison of Cancer Mortality and Incidence Between New Zealand and Australia
New study below [1]. I know a few this will interest. FDA ODAC -Lynparza (olaparib), PARP inhibitor, is only for metastatic castration-resistant PC patients whose tumors have a BRCA mutation.
The FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee agreed with the agency’s forcefully stated view that Lynparza (olaparib), a PARP inhibitor, should be given only to metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients whose tumors have a BRCA mutation. Does anyone have more insight into this finding?

Zometa Tips???
After 12 years of surgery, EBRT, ADT1 and ADT2, chemo, SBRT, and completing 6 doses of Pluvicto my PSA is down to 0.10. Other than dealing with persistent anemia, I'm feeling pretty good!I just learned, however, that my MO wants to start me on Zometa. I won't know the dosage, timing, etc., until the

A New Direction
After seven years of fighting this disease with chemo, radiation, ADT, and abiraterone, I suffer from fatigue, nerve damage and paralysis and nerve pain in my left foot from radiation treatment, as well as depression, and a constant feeling of uncertainty. However, I am now free to let go of the life

Eclipse Trial Update - Lutetium-Lu 177
Just received lab results from my 2nd dose of Lu177, 2 weeks ago. My PSA dropped from 2.0 to 0.3. Had CT and Bone scans done, at the same time, and they show healing and no new mets. My 3rd dose will be 5-31-23. So far my only side effects, I think, were some appetite suppression and constipation

Reanalysis of Biopsy and switch to AS
I had written in only last week to describe my debate between HIFU and LDR BT. I was diagnosed with G7 (3+4). The comments were helpful. Today I got called after my new urologist had agreed my biopsy should be reexamined. He said their senior person along with the original reader came to a conclusion

Yeaterday we had our tested embygirl transferred. She is 6AA final grade and according to doctor everything was looking great. I hope she sticks. Wanted to hear your experiences days after transfer, did you do bed rest / couch potato / back to work? My clinic says take it easy first 3 days but no bed

Confused clear cell concerns
So went for chemo no.4 today, as no. 3 had made me ill with terrible side effects they decided to stop the paclitaxel and just do the carboplatin. White blood cells were low but still ok to go for the carboplatin. My CA125 is now down to 10. Just very scared and confused as clear cell is rare and known
