Across cancer types, advanced cancers with high tumor mutation burden had better responses to immunotherapy:

Thanks for sharing, many of these very technical pieces are pretty hard to follow for a party person. However, I was diagnosed with a mismatch repair DNA of my tumor, so I qualified for treatment with pembrolizumab (Keytruda). I had gone through 2 years of. Abirateron ( Zytiga) eith Prednisone my PSA steadily going down until January of 2022.

My PSA went from under 1 to 4 in three months. Keytruda infusios started March 2022 every 6 weeks. My skin had such a negative reaction, we stopped after September Keytruda had helped to reduce the PSA to 0.13 in March of 2023. I stopped Pembrolizumab September of 2022. My skin has improved, and my energy is great.

Hang in there every one, remember, it's not how long, but how well you live.

I am going to go and sail the Netherlands Master Laser(ILCA) Championship the middle of may.

Immunotherapy with Keytruda has so far been very effective in the fight against my husbands prostrate cancer - with an unwelcome but manageable side effect. My husband was diagnosed in 2015 with a PSA of 365 and the tumor had spread to his spine, jaw and hip. Over the years he has received radiation, doxatel , lupron and then xtandi. These treatments all lowered his PSA for a while then in late 2020 stopped being effective. A biopsy of his prostate showed that his tumor had a high TMB - tumor mutation burden- so he started Keytruda in April 2021. The treatments were effective and brought his PSA down to undetectable after a few months but after 6 or 7 months of infusions, the Keytruda caused a rare autoimmune attack on his pancreas. The infusions were stopped and he is now a diabetic. His doctors are unsure how long the Keytruda treatment he received will continue to keep his PSA at undetectable levels and say that we are in uncharted territory. We remain hopeful and grateful and are thoroughly enjoying our time together navigating the unknown.

That's fantastic! I've heard of the immune checkpoint inhibitors being used in melanoma, but I don't know the literature. Great it worked for you!
