new model for bone marrow behavior is a hope for finding bone metastasis remedies!
”What results were found from your investigation? It did mimic the effects that we see in the clinical scenario. It has been exciting. The other nice thing about this model is it doesn't have to only be utilized for bone sarcomas and creates the microenvironment from which a bone sarcoma might arise

which steroids and what dosage.
Don’t know if the steroid Dexamethosone would be appropriate for brain cancer but your doctor should know. It is given to me every 21 days at Docetaxel chemo infusion for PCa and absolutely eliminates pains. Can last for 12-18 hours. Ask your doc about it. Mike Seattle

Confusing CT scan results
My PSA has been rising slowly after prostate removal two years ago. Was at zero months after and slowly rising at .02,.03. .05, .06. .09 and then .13. My doctor ordered CT and bone scans. Bone scan came back clear and then CT scan showed a few things in bones and a nonspecific mass outside the liver

T4 and integrin receptors
I've come across integrin receptors mentioned in a few papers recently where t4 seems to have some activity (generally its assumed t4 is not an active hormone), so was interested to read the following paper. This is yet another good reason for t3/t4 combination treatment. "Preliminary clinical evidence

Diagnosed today with an acoustic Neuroma.
Hi Everyone. I have just been told this morning that my MRI confirmed an acoustic neuroma. The ENT Doctor said he is now referring me to a specialist in Manchester. Can anyone tell me what to expect now ? Did anyone have any treatment for it ? Thank you.

Wondering if I should get a Partial Thyroidectomy?
I have a nodule on the left side of my thyroid which grew from 11 x 5 x 7 mm to 14 x 9 x 7 mm over the last 6 months. My endocrinologist and ENT believe it’s cancer. No impact on my lymph nodes. My surgery is in a few days and I’m just nervous I’m removing a part of my body that could be fine. Any

More Evidence Linking ADT for PCa to Adverse Neurocognitive Effects -Meta-analysis shows increased risk of dementia, Parkinson's, depression
As if we needed more reasons to dislike or avoid ADT, here is additional evidence of negative neurocognitive effects. This MedPage Today article will expecially be of special interest to those of us well into our "Golden Years" and on or considering ADT.

Are Lymph nodes a filter?
Do lymph nodes simply act as a temporary filter to prevent cancer from spreading too far? I was curious about this because I have 4th stage prostate cancer, and my Lymph had swelled to the size of a golfball. When I took the ADT, my PSA went from 1000, down to 6, and all evidence of cancer disappeared

My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
I hope this story might be useful to others. I'm based in the UK and had a PSA of 12.7 from a test in June 2023. That led to an MRI in August with a PI-RADS of 5 with irregularity on the front of the prostate. I eventually had a biopsy at the end of September after 3 cancellations (this was through the
