I’ve just finished a 3 week course of Radiotherapy and I feel dreadful. I’ve been very sick and it feels like flu. I’m very tired and sleeping a lot. Complete loss of appetite. I didn’t find chemotherapy as bad as this.
Has anyone else had this experience ?

I can’t offer any advice but just to say i hope you feel better soon. Hopefully now its finished uou should start to lick up? Xx and i will be mirroring your journey as i have a lung lesion which they are talking about radiotherapy if its grown again at my next scan.
I also had radiation and had similar symptoms; extreme fatigue which lasted 3-4 months after radiation was completed. I lost a lot of weight due to nausea as well. I also found it to be worse than chemo or other failed toxic immunotherapy. Remarkably, though, it reduced my tumor and it continues to have the effect after 5-6 months. I recommend that you eat as much as you can so that you don’t lose too much weight. I am struggling to gain it back.
Everyone I know who has had radiation has said that the fatigue is the worst part. They say the best thing to do is give in to the need to rest rather than pushing through it. Best wishes for your recovery. --Lani
radiation can be exhausting. My doctor put me on a course of steroids after I completed my radiation treatments just to give me a little energy boost. Maybe talk to your oncologist about that?
