My First Post
Hi,I am Dima. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2015 and was under tamoxifen until recently I found out that I have metastatic and got fractures in my ribs and spine. I have started ibrance with latrezole after taking out my ovaries hoping my cancer would be under control again. Nice to join

New invasive on mastectomy side.
I am new to this site and to metastatic breast cancer. I had a mastectomy 12 years ago for Dcis. Unfortunately I have now fallen into the less than 2% of people who get a cancer from the less than 5% of breast tissue left behind. I found fullness and a mass in the arm pit. Anyone else have this experience

PET scan on Thursday. Again
Hi, Another PET scan this Thursday. Wish me luck. I hate all these scans. My last one was in August and showed "partial responce" to ibrance, faslodex and exgeva. Tumor markers have been fluctuating again between 55 in August to 68 in November now 57 again. Hopefully this scan will show improvement.

Feeling type of way
I was talking to an ex-coworker who fought breast cancer in 2016. I told her that I was dx with stage IV. She kept saying she was blessed, all she had to get was a lumpectomy. It made me feel feel a little jealous. I’m happy for her but it was her tone and she said it multiple times. 🤷🏽♀️

Flap surgery
Hi there I had a chemo, mastectomy, radiation and now reconstruction on Tuesday. I decided to get the flap surgery instead of implant. Since I had radiation and skin isn’t same plus you will have to get another surgery in 5 years. Has anyone ever had the flap surgery where they use belly fat instead

Oncology appointment
Went for my tamoxifen review yesterday, started badly as I could have been seen at the hospital where I had my surgery which is ten minutes away from home instead of going into the centre of Bristol. However he gave me the options I was expecting, stay on tamoxifen, change to another tablet, he was going

A short paper reflecting on OTC Adrenal Supplements. I very much agree that proper labelling and, in so far as practicable, accurate description and assay, are highly desirable. [i]

Switching from faslodex to letrazole
Due to NHS funding regulations I've been switched from faslodex to letrazole and just finished my fist week. I'm usually quite an upbeat person, my glass is always half full (I apologise as I know it can be irritating) but it takes a lot to get me down. But since I've started taking the letrazole I've
