I’m wondering if there are any other 81 year olds in this amazing group. I was diagnosed 15 yrs ago wIth invasive bc, has a mastectomy and diep reconstruction. Thought I was cancer free until I discovered a lump under my arm 7 yrs ago. Lump was removed from the axcilla, followed by radiation. Now I have a lesion, also in the axcilla. I had been on exemestane and later in tamoxifen, but neither helped. Now I’m on my second cycle of Ibrance and faslodex and seem to be tolerating it, except for extreme bouts of fatigue. I won’t know if these meds are working until my onc orders a CT scan in a few months. I have a granddaughter’s college graduation in May and another granddaughter’s wedding in July. I’m praying to be healthy for both. I used to be a very active person, playing lots of tennis and golf. You all are so brave and I admire your great attitudes. 💕

I will be 73 in June. Hope the Ibrance is an answer for you and you're able to enjoy these family events fully.

Keep the positive thoughts. I've been on Ibrance and Faslodex for over a year and it has shrunken most of my tumors it has also made one of the bone mets on my spine disappear. Good luck to you. I'm over 70 if that helps at all.

I'm "young" -- 65, haha. Over 3 years on Ibrance. Get something nice for your granddaughter's graduation!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I always feel bad for new members of this sucky club, but if we all stick together, maybe we can beat this nasty disease. I’m lucky to have a wonderful husband and the love and support of our kids and grandchildren. We have to be strong for ourselves and for them. ❤️ Margie

I beat you by one! I am 82. First diagnosed in 2000. Mastectomy and chemo. Thought I was cancer free for 18 years. Last year was diagnosed with lymph nodes and some lung mets. On Ibrance and Letrozole

Haha. I’ll be 82 in March! I’m a snowbird, too, but had to put Florida on hold because I’m only on second cycle of ibrance and faslodex and my onc wants to monitor my blood counts here in MA. My best to you. Octogenarians Rock!
