Any info on Red Yeast Rice (RYR) masking PSA?
Strange query indeed. I had my monthly PSA test on Tuesday. For the whole week before that I was not taking my usual 20 mg of Atorvastatin + 10 mg Ezetimibe. In the meantime, I had ordered a bottle of Jarrow Formulas Red Yeast Rice +co-Q10. PSA came back as anticipated at 0.12, but the cholesterols

Letrozole (Femara} vs Arimidex
Hi Ladies. I hear the daffodils in Scotland are peeking through so we have Spring to look forward to. No sign of them here in Wa State but maybe I’ve just missed them. A little history is that I had a double mastectomy in 2007 with reconstruction for invasive BC. Chemo wasn’t suggested and I declined

Low Ca15/3 and metastatic breast cancer
Hi to all, Thanks for all your support. Was just wondering about my ca15/3 level. It's always been of 15 which is a normal rate. Therefore it cannot be used to monitor progression. But, how is it it's so low when I have 9 bone mets and also my breast tumor. A quite big tumor burden should give much

Anybody on Zometa injection/ Zoledronic acid?
Hello everyone, I had a bone scan last week and it revealed osteopenia 😱😨🤯 I’m not surprised as I feel it. My poor bones have deteriorated since I started on Anastrazole and now I’m on Exemastene. I’m 42 so I have to be on hormone therapy for 10 years and I don’t know if my bones will hold up. What

First scan on Xeloda
Tomorrow morning I have my first scan after starting Xeloda in October. I've only had one good scan since being diagnosed in February '19 (my first scan on Ibrance). I've shown progression each time. Everolimus did nothing. I'm afraid Xeloda isn't working as the ache under my rib cage which diminished

I take letrozole and Ibrance together
After dinner. I am 3 weeks on both and 2 weeks just letrozole. This sounds crazy but I feel better when on both together. Letrozole itself causes me more body aches , tired and mood changes , depressed , anxious. Has anyone else experienced this before ? I have MBC to my bones , kidney, spleen , lymph

Hormone Therapy Experiences
Good Morning Everyone, I'm going to be starting hormone therapy in Jan. I'm 43 yrs old, diagnosed with stage 1, grade 2, breast cancer, ER+/PR+, oncotype 18. Chemo was not recommended. I had lumpectomy in Oct, halfway through radiation now. I'm so nervous about the effects I'll experience with Zameta

Hello. My name is Priya. I am new to the group. A friend referred me.
I was originally diagnosed with hormone positive breast cancer in 2014 as stage 2B. I had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and had thought my cancer would not come back. I was diagnosed as metastatic in 2019 and my cancer has progressed.

Xeloda
Hi Ladies I’ve been on Xeloda now since the beginning of November and had the dose reduced to 1000 mg twice a day due to my sore feet...these have improved but my hands are peeling a bit but manageable I take the tablets one week on one week off and have just finished a week off...I thought I would

Mammogram?
Hello ladies - I have a question about mammograms once you’ve been diagnosed with MBC. I was diagnosed in July and had radiation then started Ibrance and Letrozole. My most recent ct scan showed no progression so far. My radiation oncologist has ordered a mammogram which I am scheduled to have tomorrow

Viral Meningitis infection - how long will the symptoms last?
I was rushed to A+E 3 weeks ago with a suspected bleed on the brain, after a stay in hospital and multiple tests - Drs told me I had a Viral Meningitis infection, once my hydration had been topped up I was sent home with little information, other than I should make a recovery in 7-10days, after talking
