What should I do next ?
I am so discouraged . As if stage 4 wasnt enough . Kaiser Permanente has been worst than horrible . Don't answer calls , or emails , and have left me for 2mths without the treatment they are prescribing . They also missed an appt , should have been more Faslodex shots at 2 wks , but they just didn't

Large Swedish study on T3 use and clinical outcome
I have put here the title and abstract of a large Sweidish paper examining oucomes of T3 use. There is some evidence of bias here, especially where the lower mortality on T3 rather than T4 only is quoted but claimed to be an artefact (why, I wonder?). The get-out here is feeble. I think this article

After total thyroidectomy RI treatment, good idea?
I’ve had all of my thyroid removed and some thyroid cancer around my windpipe. It has been recommended I have radio active iodine treatment. I am taking 125 levothyroxine at the moment but have only been on them for 4 weeks. I would be interested to hear what anyone has to say about this situation

Lovely holiday in Tenerife - back to cancer life!
Hi I had a lovely 5 night break in Tenerife with my sister & the weather was fabulous ☀️☀️☀️☀️ Completing all the Covid paperwork was well worth it! I also got some good travel insurance, reasonably priced, covering my cancer from a company called Insure With - I’m based in the UK. However, I didn’

Botox and Fillers
This may seem ridiculously vain, but just because I have cancer doesn't mean I don't want to look my best for as long as I'm able. I was wondering if any one who is on Ibrance and Letrozole has asked their oncologist if it is ok to have either Botox or dermal fillers. I had both before my diagnosis and

Results due to Taxol vs Herceptin/ Perjeta?
Hi Everyone! I was diagnosed de novo with MBC mets to liver. I am being treated in Canada (GTA). My current treatment is Herceptin, Perjeta and Taxol. I am starting round 5 & will continue only for a few more before they remove Taxol. I have been responding well. Recent CT shows anxilla nodes have

Reoccurrence
Hi Ladies, I received my PET scan results yesterday and it confirmed the beast is back! It is in a lymph node in the pelvis. It’s going to MDT today to discuss whether I have a second surgery and chemo or just chemo. Chemo will be carbo and doxorubicin. Has anyone experienced this combination of drugs

I posted a month ago about exercise, things have improved.
I'm pretty much at 6 months into my recovery now and most of the tiredness from pneumonia has lifted. I can over exert, but we are talking 60 minutes plus of exercise to make me feel it the following day. As I got back to full time work, I decided to slightly reduce the amount of walking distance I

Faslodex and skin issues
Does anybody have skin problems with Faslodex? I developed pimples and itchy bumps on my face and under my hair. Went to a dermatologist, who says it’s a side affect of Faslodex. It’s not on the list of common side affects.

What’s going on ? Time for new treatment?
My husband George’s WCC has jumped from 28 to 60 in 6 weeks, Haemoglobin dropped from 127 To 118 & Lymphocytes from 22 to 55.6 & Platelets 87 to 67. Doesn’t know if there are lymph nodes as Oncologist kept in Brisbane this trip so no examination so a Pet scan would need to be done. No weight

Reply to jersey-jazz. I thought you might also be interested in my medical history.
If you don’t mind to read a long story, I would love to provide more details. I moved to US since 2000. I worked here and had insurance all the time but never think about to use it since I always think myself as a healthy person. My first diagnosed DCIS on 2012 was in Taiwan when I went back to visit

hand and wrist pain
hi, I have been suffering with pain in my right hand for quite a few years. In 2018 I fell transferring from my wheelchair to my recliner, I landed heavily on my right arm and it bent back quite a bit. The carers called paramedics because I thought I had broken my arm and to help me up. The real pain

Same as Carole, “new....well sort of ; )”
Please forgive me for my poor English and have to quote some of Carole’s words to express my thoughts. I also having been a member since 2018 and have read your collective posts daily for over 3 years. I was always hesitant to write a post because of my poor English and always didn’t have good news.
