Whew!!! What a ride! 🎢
Hi MBC Chics! I call us that because we are strong women hungry for knowledge about our reality. I can tell we all are sassy and in command of our lives! Asking questions and doing research. I am so grateful to have found you all! I feel free to talk about the crummy chemo mouth 👅 or the EXCESSIVE

Update on my father. Triplet therapy?
After my last post, my father underwent spinal cord decompression surgery - they did laminectomy and partial corpectomy of the fractured vertebrae and did pedicular screw fixation to stabilize the spine. It's been 2 weeks since surgery and he is prescribed bed rest for 4-6 weeks. After 1-2 more weeks

Ibrance and Letrozole not working
I have just finished my 3rd round. My CA 15-3 went up 8.1 points to 38.1 and my CEA went up 4.2 to 14.9. I just had a CT that they said was fine except for more lung nodules but an X-ray for hip pain showed growth. What do I do now?

1st Egg collection and OHSS risk - FET recommended
Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone had experience of how FET proceeds following an attempted fresh cycle? It's my first cycle and I had a very painful egg collection today on mild sedation. From reading posts on here, I expected to be more heavily sedated, but I was wrong! They had to stop the

2nd line without Vernesio
Hello ladies, I’m having a PET scan today and, of course, feeling extra anxious with “what if” scenarios running through my head. Being mobility impaired, I’m dreading being on Vernezio and experience diarrhea even more that otherwise “healthy” patient. I’m currently on palbo 125mg and Letrozole

A bit of good news
Hello fellow warriors, hope all is well with everyone. I had a CatScan 9/23 and discussed results with my onc 9/27. The primary lymph node under my arm has shrunk a further 20% (making it 60% total). I used to be able to feel it but I don't feel it anymore. The secondary node behind my sternum is back

Brain necrosis cause problems?
Has anyone had brain necrosis cause problems? I was dx de novo with one brain tumor. E pos. Craniotomy with follow-up SRS to tumor bed. Now 4 years later I am having more problems with a foot where the original brain tumor caused numbness. Rad onc said very rare to have another brain tumor after

Mucousitis or Chemo Mouth! Ugh!
Yep, got it! Sorry but I feel like 💩! Started Affinitor a little over a week ago along with Faslodex and woke up two days ago with the worst tongue and cheek (haha) pain ever. Swelling. A lesion! I feel as if little knives are cutting inside my mouth. Difficult to talk or eat. As anxious as I get I

Update to Here We Go Again
There are 4 tumors, and the onc report says they are Stage II Grade II ER+ PR+ HER2- I hope this is accurate as the last breast cancer was a triple negative encasing a triple positive (hard to treat!) I am still going to Florida for the month of October; surgery is Nov 1. Need to recharge my batteries

BRCA 2 GENE
hello everyone- I just wanted to reach out and inquire if anyone has the BRCA 2 gene which contributed to their MBC diagnosis. If so, how did this affect your treatment lines. I read a scary article that if you have a BRCA mutation you become resistant more quickly to Ibrance and endocrine therapy like

hi I was told after having mammogram in May this year I had a lump in my breast. After tests found that it was a well contained cancer and hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes. So felt ok, lucky really not too bad. Lump was removed and two nodes. This was followed by a weeks radiotherapy and now 5 years

Metastatic Breast Cancer
It has been a whirlwind of tests , Dr. Visits and going on medications. I have had breast cancer in 2017 and faithfully went and had mammogram’s since then. Cancer is no respecter of anyone. I am 79 years old and looking at who knows what is ahead. This one thing I know, God is by my side all the time

ER+ HER2- MBC treatments
Hi, Hope you're enjoying your day. I was just wondering about diffrents treatements I've read about here. I'm puzzled. I was diagnosed de novo in May 2020 with extensive bone mets. I was put on Ibrance and Anastrozole, was NED in January 2021 and had primary breast tumor removed in March 2021.

Viral Myocarditis Recovery
I recently had some intense palpitations which landed me in emergency for 5 days. I've just got back from hospital after this cardiac event with instructions for bed rest. Nothing is confirmed other than clear arteries, some damage to left heart wall, and raised troponin I (it was 6.0-7.0). I'm waiting

Doctor cannot fully diagnose without bone marrow biopsy and PET scan?
Update Results: Hello i did have the cyclometery test done, but i didnt put it here before. Is thaat the same as a FISH test? Here are my results: An abnormal CD5-positive B cell population accounts for approximately 35% of lymphocytes and 13% of total events. This population shows kappa restriction
