Hello. I recently found about this site and this is my first post here, so I want to wish everyone here good luck and health. My father (64 years old) started to feel numbness in legs 2 weeks ago, shortly after that he needed someone's help or forearm crutch to walk and now he uses crutch while walking

15 month update, Covid Pneumonia, the road to recovery
The last few months have been odd, yesterday, I got an automated call from the NHS, to give me an appointment at the long covid / pulmonary clinic. I turned it down, for two reasons. Firstly it was 12 months late. To explain the second point, lets look back at whats happened since October 2022. I

Any advice? Considering ending treatment.
I am a nervous wreck. I am into my fifth year. Unfortunately, after a 3 and 1/2 years with 50 mg. of verzenio and falsodex injections, my cancer spread to my liver in February. My onco kept me on the same line of treatment and then come June, the tumors doubled in size. I have one that is 11.1 cm

Update on MRI/CT scans: Trying to be strong 💪🏽 !
Hi MBC Chics! This chic has been trying to wrap my head around it all. Liver met (one tumor) has increased in size a bit. Cancer in the pleural cavity around the right lung is thickening. So changing from Ibrance to Affinitor ( a chemo drug pill 💊) with the Faslodex injections 💉 with the hope to stop

Surgery date brought forward by two weeks
Surgery date brought forward by two weeks. Mastectomy was booked for October 4, but I’ve just had a call from the surgeon offering me a week today. I’ve accepted it but it’s left me quite shaky, no idea why. Perhaps because I thought I had three more weeks to prepare and I have less than a week. But

Hi They say if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans. Well, He is laughing mightily!! When the call came that I have breast cancer for the third time, I was adamant that I wouldn't undergo a mastectomy - unfortunately, the onc surgeon does not think she can do a lumpectomy because of a previous

I have been taking Herceptin and Perjeta but my echocardiogram showed my heart was getting hurt by the Herceptin. I only take the two every three weeks. Well I was going to take it this Tuesday but since it was hurting my heart I didn’t take it. So how long does it take to get this Herceptin to get out

broken bone healing while taking Fulvestrant?
i am wondering if anyone has broken a bone while in treatment and how did drugs effect the healing process? A month ago I was hit by a motorcycle crossing the street. Humerus arm bone was broken. A rod and screws were inserted. It is hard to be active with one arm so healing requires immense patience

hi everyone! My dad was diagnosed with MBC in May of 2022 to bone. He is currently on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. He just had his first pet scan after starting treatment and it shows that all of his previous lesions that lit up on the PET scan have resolved. (Primary breast tumor and bone

Faslodex loading doses done, third set of shots today and tumor markers up.
Hi all! First, I want to thank everyone for their wonderful advice on starting Faslodex injections and getting through the fear of the unknown, and dealing with the shots. So far, so good, no pain and the shots seem to be easy. I had a rash on my behind after the second set of shots, but no rash today
