hi I was told after having mammogram in May this year I had a lump in my breast. After tests found that it was a well contained cancer and hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes. So felt ok, lucky really not too bad. Lump was removed and two nodes. This was followed by a weeks radiotherapy and now 5 years of taking hormone blockers.

The side affects after radiotherapy were fairly minor. Painful breast which is gradually getting better after two weeks, very tired first week and dizzy slightly. (But started hormone blocker which mentioned all the above as side effects) No blistering. Kept creaming breast twice a day during and after radiotherapy.

Previously 20 years ago had very early stages lump removed with no further treatment. So hopefully this is the end of it and life can carry on.

So glad you have done so well! Your story is very similar to mine, and like you, I am praying life will carry on with no breast cancer complications! I had multiple benign cysts removed before being diagnosed with BC in November 2020. Lumpectomy in December 2020...then 33 radiation treatments. Hot flashes are the only issue with the estrogen blocker, but they are getting better.
