Nebuliser
Evening all Hope you are all doing ok I’ve been a bit lazy lately, not posted much but I am still reading quite often. I’m in the middle of my second exacerbation of the year, and have been told today I have pleurisy (yet again) and the doc had a good listen to my chest and said it sounded like all

Question: Saline On It’s Own via Nebuliser
If part of your self-treatment at home includes ‘saline-ony’ via a Nebuliser, please could you answer a few questions, below. Note: It’s Nebulised Saline - without any drugs / other stuff added - that I’m keen to learn about. 1. How many weeks, years you’ve been doing it? 2. What form / strength of Saline

Nebulisers
I had to visit A&E last night & was put on nzebuliser with fluid & salbutamol, the Dr said even steam can help & I wondered if anyone uses an at home nebuliser with only water..no meds...just so steam can help open airways...if so, is it ordinary tap water, or sterilised satchets or saline...advice please

Anyone Tried the Omron Nebuliser?
My local Boots are flogging an Omron Nebuliser at a decent discount sale price. Been thinking for a while that I ought to have a Nebuliser at home (just in case I hit a bad patch that takes more to cope with than inhalers and Oral Steroids which are all I currently keep at hand). Wondered if anyone

Active Cycle of Breathing alongside Nebulisers
Not sure if everyone with bronchiectasis has to do this, but my mum does physiotherapy and other techniques alongside the nebuliser ( saline, plus salbutamol when needed) e.g. one method is called The Active Cycle of Breathing which helps her a lot to get the phlegm up and her oxygen saturation levels

Carbocisteine not working?
So I saw my new Respiratory Physiotherapist a few days ago and found out a great deal I didn’t know. My chemical sensitivity is far worse than I realised and combined with heat it is awful. There was something in her room that set me off and it was also very warm in there. My breathing got steadily worse

My doctor says it is o.k. to take Vitamin C along with the COPD medication that he has prescribed for me; such as a nebulizer (albuterol along with some other med, prednisone (temporary for 10 days) and Trelegy (which is supposed to work good; but haven't found too much difference so far), I am taking

Nebuliser
I live in the Malvern area and have a Medic Lite Freeway Lite nebuliser which i am happy to give away if it is of use to someone in the area. It is twenty years old but hardly used and appears to be in good working order.

Scary Frog
Having had COPD for the last 13/14 years I really thought I had dealt with most situations. So tonight I'm just sitting in my usual spot watching tv breathing as usual for me. Suddenly a nasty frog jumped into my windpipe and tried to choke me. No warning. In fact I've been feeling pretty good for the

Hylogy portable neb: anyone used it?
I came across a Hylogy rechargeable portable mesh neb while searching for a portable neb. Lots of good reviews on Amazon saying it's small and quiet, which is what I want - but seems to cost much less than other portable mesh neb machines! Not heard of the brand before - new to home nebs myself but
